You can also create held items that boost your speed. Usually I used a nether star. It's an NBT stat like damage that you put on the item.

See, the thing is that Depth Strider merely negates water’s slowing properties, so at level III you can’t go faster as it already did all it work

Also, if you want to test this, in bedrock edition, the speed potion effect changes the base speed of a mob, so if you give 2 horses speed and then breed them, their child will have a permanent speed buff. Keep doing this and eventually you can crash the game. Idk how fast it is, but you could check it out!

I know the experience. At a certain location in an SMP there's a place where if I jump into water, I have depth strider, dolphin's grace and speed, all at the same time. It's almost impossible to control.

if it was up to commands, and infinite leveled enchantments, the funny thing is knockback would be the best for travelling- get a saddle on a pig, get knockback 2 billion or whatever- hit said pig, while spamming left click to make sure you ride it at the same time (notes: use a wooden sword so it doesnt die instantly, and make sure nothing is in its way, so do it on a mountain or something) and you literally go about 1,000 blocks in a second or 2. quick edit: i dont remember how it works, but you can get over level 2 billion (or whatever the 32 bit iteger limit is, im no smartness forgive me) enchants, and i watched one of antvenoms videos to learn how, but i dont remember which one- eef.

If you go on minecraft bedrock, you can take horses, splash them with speed potions, and make them mate. The reason this works is because in minecraft bedrock, speed potions simply modify the horses stats temporarily, meaning when they mate, the baby horse inherits the stats without needing the speed potion, you can keep doing it and after a few generations you will go insanely fast, and if you do it hundreds of times, you can make a teleporting horse

Iirc, if you use item modifiers, you can edit an entities movement speed if they are holding the item/have it in their inventory based on how you setup the item, so I think you can go faster if you have one of those items

I've run the calculations... God have mercy. Using F=m.a and measuring the speed attained within the first frame of movement I found the force with which Steve accelerates. I then ran the result (2.700.000N(!) on an eyeball estimate with a mass of 90Kg and acceleration of 1000m/s per frame, 30 frames per second) into the terminal velocity equation to find the top speed. It went as follows: Drag = Air Density * v² * Cross-Section Area * Drag Coeficient Drag = 2.700.000N Air Density = 1,225kg/m³ V = what we're after Cross-Section = 2m² (Steve is 2 blocks high and 1 block wide) Drag Coeficient = 1 (On average for a human on a belly-first approach, which seems the case given how Steve runs upright) All this to find the *theoretical maximun speed* Steve can achieve with all effects and enchantments, as of this version of minecraft, *disregarding chunk loading shenanigans.* The result? 1.102.040 m/s OR 3.967.344 Km/h OR 0.3% the speed of light Steve could run to the Farlands (12,550,821 blocks from origin at nearest point) in 11,3 seconds at top speed *ORIGIN TO FARLANDS IN 11,3 SECONDS* Steve has truly become speed, the destroyer of worlds.
