I am 100% Sola Scriptura and against all use of crystals , witchcraft and anything like that BUT scientifically certain rocks, metals, crystals do have properties and can change the environment around them. I don’t think one needs to, if they walk in the Holy Spirit, but there is scientific proof behind crystals have effect on energy and the surrounding environment. This is true. It's not that chrystals themselves are bad but things/objects can be cursed. When you're buying something like jewelry you have to do your due diligence try to find out what that company/person is about. Like I saw a nice crystal bracelet but after I purchased it, I find out that the company is founded on a yoga enthusiast. I just don't trust that. People who are into those things open themselves up to spirits. So I won't be keeping it.

I don't think most people who use crystals worship them. The answer to this question should be more focused on the Bible's view of divination instead of idolatry. For better insight, I recommend reading the divination portions of *Ancient Near Eastern Thought and the Old Testament* by John Walton. Overall, it is a mistake to think that the world around us does not have spiritual properties; ancient Jews and Christians did not believe that. That said, any human practice that tries to take control of power from the spiritual realm violates Yahweh's desire 1) for us to submit to his authority and 2) to partner with us in all that he does. This desire to take something under human authority is reflected in humans trying to define good and bad on their own in Genesis 3, and it is reflected anytime humans do something outside of the will of God. That said, if you practice something with crystals, I'm not condemning you or anything. Just know that all of the spirituality that you want to gain through using crystals can be found in a more satisfying and safer way through Yahweh and his gift of the Holy Spirit. Find a good local Pentecostal or Charismatic church, and they will (hopefully) show you how to walk in the power of the Spirit. It's life-changing :)
