Damn it. Now I need to buy a Cartier? I’m already broke. I’ll stick to Seiko 5’s. I can flip the Rolex to get myself and/or family out of trouble to almost anyone on the planet. The Santos, not so much. It’s a credit card taken by everyone. That Cartier is every bit as valuable, but only to some people. The Rollie can be swapped for plane tickets, a $2,000 car and a tank of gas, or a ride in a boat for your family with moldy cheese sandwiches and water that smells vaguely of gasoline. All real examples of $20,000-$30,000 being turned into a rescue.

Cartier is one of the supreme examples of art deco design. The santos along with the reverso, the cellini prince, are all stand alone iconic art deco designs. They have nothing in common with rolex sports watches. Santos wearer probably DOESNT want to stand out for name but rather distinguish him or herself by displaying their taste in design. Santos is a distinction in taste and design.

Not true, I went for Cartier because it's classier and different, I don't want to own a Rolex because of the following : 1. Everyone has one. I don't want what everyone else mindlessly chooses like primitive apes. 2. Cartier looks way better. Period. 3. Cartier stores have the best and most helpful staff that don't use disgusting sales tactics and lies about their stock. 4. In history, the most elite of people including presidents worldwide worn Cartier more often than they did rolex.
