Because you have to solve the fertility crisis first and no right wing party ever managed to achieve this. We have 1.2 - 1.5 children per woman and we would need 2.1 otherwise = country full of old people without children. At least we would have to get up to 1.9 plus high quality migration. There is not enough high quality migration to replace our lack of children especially not in the economically weaker european states.

@@Tyron-yy9yy The people pushing for democracy, were considered far left revolutionaries at the time. Today we would call them liberals, and the institutions they created are called liberal democracy. Human rights, due process, representative democracy, free courts, universal suffrage, etc., are part of their legacy. I see nothing wrong with a sensible immigration policy, coupled with strong borders. Nor is there anything wrong with free trade (is an integral part of the EU), as long as it is somewhat regulated. Both are good things for Europe, and something a lot of people would agree on, including a lot of people not voting for far right parties. The problem with a lot of people on the far right, is that they are authoritarian and reactionary in outlook. They desire to subvert the institutions of liberal democracy (such as the independence of the courts), have strong ties with dictators (mainly Russia, but also China) and conflate sensible immigration with racism. Many of them also have Nazi/fascist sympathies and tendencies. The last time Europe was hit with a similar populist wave, it ended in WW2. It should also be noted that European far right parties aren’t necessarily capitalist like you see in the US or Britain. In France they want to give government handouts to a lot of people, lower the retirement age and use protectionism. Which would ruin the economy in the long wrong. Mind you, I voted for a right wing party myself. In their case they are part of the liberal group, but going on a platform of stronger borders and less red tape. Which is also what the current president of the commission (whom I hope will be reelected) desires, and she is herself a right wing conservative. But that isn’t far right, but instead sensible center right.

@paul1979uk2000
@paul1979uk2000 8 ай бұрын
Local politics would be better, and I don't mean at a nation level but regional level that's closer to the people's interest. With that said, there are a lot of good reasons to pool more resources and integration at a national and supernational level with the EU, especially if we want to protect our political and economic interest, whiles also being more relevant and having a voice on the world stage, something we can do better by the 27 members working through the EU, especially with how the geopolitical situation is changing around the world with the US, China and Russia. To put it another way, if we Europeans are serious about protecting our interest, we are going to have to do more through the EU, because whether we like it or not, the individual countries are too weak to stand up to the likes of the US and China, whereas we can if we speak with one voice through the EU, I think that reality over the long run is why further integration is likely to happen, but there are many ways that can happen, and it's up to us to find the right way that works for all members and the people. I also do think that more democracy is needed on the EU, with it being more connected with the people, a lot of the far right and Eurosceptics take advantage of that disconnect the EU and the people have, if there were more of a connect with the EU and the people, it would be far harder for the Eurosceptics to have much of a case, or let's just say, there case would be weakened, in other words, we need major reforms on the EU and need them before 2030 at the latest.

Hey first of all thanks a lot for all the videos, it must be quite a challenge to make all of them, and try to be as unbiased as possible 🙂. A couple of complementary info from a French dude: 1. Mayotte used to be part of the Comores politically, when the whole archipelago was under French colonial law. Then in the 70s referundums were held in all the islands, and Mayotte opted to stay French. They did a second referundum a year later that confirmed the will of Mayotte to stay French. Since then you have problems there because Mayotte standards of living are way higher than neighbouring islands, yet are very close geographically, which pull people to migrate to Mayotte, causing a lot of clashes locally. 2. Relations Le Pen Russia: -- French far-right in general is sceptic of USA, and wants France to have a more balanced, middle-ground approach to global geopolitics. As such they always were very pro-Russian in a sense they don't actively picture them as "devils". -- In early 2010s, National Rally used to not be able to be financed by French/EU banks (mostly because of ideological biases), and had to go out of EU (notably to Russian banks) for financing. -- Far-right/nationalists had a strong appeal of Putin's strong-armed leadership for a lot of reasons, notably because the guy managed to get Russia back on its feet """against""" globalisation, which is kind of the not-so-hidden wet-dream of EU nationalists. -- Early 2022, right before invasion, all anti-mainstream French parties (LePen, Zemmour, Mélenchon) were convinced Putin was bluffing and NATO was raising the stakes to push back EU well into USA sphere of influence. It turned up he wasn't bluffing and war escalated. All three leader public standing took a major blunt, right before the French presidential elections (May 2022). I'm convinced LePen and National Rally will remember that for a long time, and won't make the same mistake of publicly approving Putin twice! 🙂

I don't agree with some of their stances on eu and defense. I think the afd is incredibly radical and should be outlawed from the right. I definitely think we need the eu but I think it needs a slight downgrade for the amount of influence it has over each country. Its making democracy weaker because it is making it hard for people of a certain community to vote for policies policies that affect them. Ultimately your vote wont matter because a larger entity will just choose whats right for you instead of your countries elected representative. Despite my scepticism on their stance on defense and eu I think their stance on immigration is really good and backed by logic. Their stance on social issues I prefer too because I find in Europe we are trying to imitate radical American social politics and its making us a bit nuts here😅. I will vote for these right parties because I find issues like immigration to be really important right now.

Now, I don't know what country are you in, but here what the "party of common sense" have done in Italy: - A lobbyist of weapon is our minister of defence - a lobbyist with a resort is our minister of tourism, now she is on trial for false accounting - the brother in law of the premier is our minister of agricolture, renamed in "sovranismo alimentare" - our minister of agricolture had stopped a train because he wanted to take a car - the new esecutive of the 3-I (IT services organization with state investment) Claudio Anastasio had modify a Mussolini's speech for his introduction speech, he resign after - Our president of the Senate act like a fascist, have statue of mussolini in his home, but he doesn't call himself fascist - Our minister of culture say that "Dante Alighieri was a right-winger" even if the politic of the middle ages was a little different of today - The minister of tourism had created the most horrible campaign of tourism, with the "Venus of botticelli" as a "Influencer". If you didn't hear about you know it failed spectacularly - Our premier had influenced so much the national television now is become her propaganda machine, even cancelling a program RAI pay because made by an anti-mafia intellectual (Roberto Saviano) - Sanity collapsed after covid, no investment from the government so far - The premier is uncapable to confront her political opponent, the closest political debate was at the festival of economy where she talked to the TV presenter before her rival. There are a lot of other thing, believe me, but those are the guys with "common sense"

@@anonimo2932 could you give us an example of a perfect goverment that had no corruption cases or anything like that? I know that all goverments will have bad moments, it is about what is the most impacfult for the people today. And mass migration of people who have problems to fit into the legal standard of a society is a bigger problem. climate nonsense and endless taxation is bigger problem. once these problems are solved i would be happy to vote for someone else.

@@subimaginos And you are right my friend, but it's not giving up to some folkloristic fantasy that you resolve the problem and the far right doesn't have that answer. The Italian government is an example, they have made a pact with Albania so migrants crossing the Mediterranean will be send to immigrations center in Albania, problem is those center doesn't exist. This is because our government and the people who voted say "I know how to resolve this, just send them away. IT'S EASY!" So don't vote just because they are saying something right, vote somebody with a real plan and prospective on the future, not the past.

I mean, these accusations are also media throwing this at them to give them an even worse name just for the sake of it. Some of these are true. But tbh anyone can get these links prescribed to them for political rivalry. .. and people are voting for them. We can not ignore their vote and make a coalition where we exlude these voters... it will lead to more radicalization, etc. We need to listen to their needs and take them into consideration, otherwise this far right will keep on brewing and we have seen what this has lead to in the past

It is but it is not on a good trajectory. In Britain there is serious cultural problems due to an open door problem and extreme multiculturalism. People who's families have roots in Europe and have a history here are not on a good demographic trajectory due to low birth rate when compared to those from elsewhere. We need migration to sustain our economies and counter our ageing populations but its too much right now.
