GMT II great watches. Got a much older 1988 Cola bezel that I've worn every day continuously. Serviced only twice, & bullet proof.

Nice summary. In addition to the snappiness of the gear changes when in Race mode I find the valves respond, and the car sounds, better. When using the bumpy road button, how long is it effective before switching back to the set Race mode?
@RichReviews_2 жыл бұрын
Thank you Gordon. The bumpy road mode is effective at all times in wet mode and it is also effective from the moment you press the button in any other mode, until you select a different mode. Unless that mode it wet mode of course- in which case it is always on.

Hey Richard, have you noticed the different switch settings and their braking effects? now I'm driving the car spiritedly more often in the summer it seems to break for you in all modes as well. As soon as you let off the accelerator you can almost feel the brakes kick in, there's a slight lunge forward particularly noticeable in Race mode. I am not entirely sure if this is normal but am assuming it is. If you are on the motorway cruising along at 75 there is a very noticeable, almost automatic drop in speed the second you let off the gas the car gently applies the brakes. Glad to see you enjoying the summer months!

Hi, Thank you. The Manettino does not change the configuration of the braking system, it affects the suspension(stab, trac control and dampers)/gearbox/throttle response.

Great video. Is there no way to keep the Stability Management on full force and yet have it in Race Mode?? You can do this with Porsche and McLaren. That way you can enjoy whatever level of suspension setting with whatever level of ECU control for shift aggressiveness that you'd like. Much more control. That is one thing that bothers me when driving the 458.... that and I wish the DCT was of the same caliber as the Porsche PDK-S.

Have you had much experience with single clutch gearboxes. What’s your thoughts? Undriveable after you’ve experienced dct?

Yes. Driven the likes of 360CS, 430 scud, Alfa Romeo 8C. And not at all, recommended you watch our Alfa Romeo 8C review: kzbin.info/www/bejne/ravMpIeFj76Fj9Esi=yjK8YMSULRqPX_8N You just have to drive around it and in some cases it adds to the theatre of the car.

If you don’t mind me saying, on the F355, switching the adaptive suspension “on” actually softens the suspension rather than stiffening it.
@RichReviews_5 ай бұрын
The 355 button was Sport not bumpy road mode and therefore stiffened the suspension by altering only Rebound. Keep in mind that the COMFORT setting has been activated when you see the suspension light illuminated on the driver display. This is apparently opposite to the description in the manual. From 430 Scuderia the Bumpy Road option existed to soften the stiffer suspension setup brought about by changing the driving mode from wet/comfort to Sport and then to Race...Bumpy Road Mode option working in Sport and Race with the soft suspension already pre-configured for Comfort/Wet mode

@@RichReviews_ - Hi Rich, can I politely say again you have that wrong. If you go to page F10 of the owner’s manual it says “The indicator is located on the instrument panel and lights when “Comfort” is selected. I know anyway from driving the car that this is correct but your comment made me look it up to check. The standard set up for the car is Sport. The switch changes it to Comfort - not the other way around. Very much enjoyed your review BTW 👍
