I had been staying in Long Valley to videograph before, during, and after Ethos Farm Days at Ethos Farm to Health when I crossed paths with sisters Fortune & Gladys. I had met them a few years prior in Ohio at the National Health Association Annual Conference (NHA). I even interviewed them at the NHA. It was really late though and basically the last interview. For several reasons I never got around to editing that interview. I had a feeling we would cross paths again and perhaps it would be a better time and location.
Here we were now, two of the sisters and I at Ethos! When Gladys told me her mom is a centenarian, vegan, and just about an hour away in Brooklyn I figured I could at least try and squeeze in at least a little video of sorts. There was only two days left before they were flying out. So that Monday was the only day. I had a narrow window to work with because they had appointments to meet before their trip. So I was really only there for their lunchtime.
I hoped to go back one more time and do the interview myself. That is, rather than having just having the daughters mic'd. I had so many more questions!
