Hatred and anger won. I had to drive my wife 100s of miles when she had an ectopic pregnancy because ERs around me would not remove the baby that was killing her. He has affected me terribly and even my own parents voted for him knowing what happened to their potential grandchild and how their daughter-in-law almost died because of something Trump loves to take credit for. Was this a true majority? Any word yet on what percentage of eligible voters actually participated? Numbers aren't final yet, but it's currently looking like Trump got a similar turn out as he did last time and that the problem is too many of the people who helped vote for Biden just didn't bother showing up at all for Harris. I'm sorry to hear your sister is dealing with that. I just had a 3.5" ovarian cyst removed from my right ovary in February. And it caused me to go into ketosis and dehydration. I understand the sentiment, but don't lose hope. I'm in my 40's and voted in every presidential election since I came of age in 2000. I know it's especially hard for younger voters for whom Obama is the Democratic standard and Clinton was a part of their childhood. I don't know how old you are, but I'm going to err on the side of caution and believe you are younger than me. I honestly believe when the history books look back at this point in history, it will be with the concern and desire to do better that we look back on manifest destiny, slavery, and segregation. It's rough learning not only that there are more people out there who are only concerned with what effects them and those they care about. That they can be swayed with fear and retoric that doesn't hold up if you look at it even slightly. I don't think that is the future for the human species, but we must fight for the better future we know can exist. It sucks living through the rough parts of history, but, after the shock wears off, we must continue to fight and be an example for our neighbors. The generations after us will thank us.

As a former trump supporter they don’t know what they voted for. The majority of voters have no idea about what he’s done and don’t know why he’s bad. This is why people voted for trump. Most people just think that since life was better 4 years ago that therefore trumps the better option. Even though that’s bad logic that is still how most people think. When I supported trump I didn’t know about the majority of the bad shit he’s done and the few things I knew about I really didn’t want to believe so I didn’t. For me my turning point to stop supporting trump was the realization that trump tried to steal the last election. Idk where I was on Jan 6th but I didn’t pay attention to that stuff at all until last year. In the end Americans in general being uneducated and ignorant is why he won. There are very few people in either party that know why they support their canidate. While I do think that the democratic party is the better one, most people who even support them have no clue why they do. We are facing a lack of education epidemic

Even though Biden was President elect when I left, I knew this Maga thing was only going to get worse. I also was early retired from my company and wanted a last adventure in life before I croak. One of the main things you have to look at is: CAN you live in another country as a temporary or permanent resident and what is the path and can you work in this new country? How loooong does the temporary residency last? What is the cost of living in your possible new country (Portugal is DONE btw, it is NOT cheap by any means - I just had a basic lunch today with a friend and it was €17 just for me - just grilled fish and potatoes). Other things I looked at was the government and safety of the country. Also, does the country have good wifi and potable water out of the taps? I had a whole list. Then DOING the thing is f'ing hard. And if you have a big family connection in the US, then it is doubly hard. I've seen several people move back to the US after they were here for 6 mo to a year. Denmark is hella expensive and I don't even know what their path is to residency for a foreigner. Mexico doesn't (generally) have potable water out of the taps and has a lot of areas that are not safe (however, on the plus side, it is the EASIEST country to emigrate to, to my knowledge). Canada is hella hard to emigrate to (also hella expensive) UNLESS you are young and you have SKILLS for their economy where you can work. Just throwing out these things... I could go on for days about it. I don't regret my move, especially now (and I did vote all BLUE), but a lot of people have no freakin' clue about how difficult it is to move to a foreign country. If I knew how difficult it would be, I probably wouldn't have done it - but now I don't regret it. Good luck to you. 💙

It's more like, well educated about fantasy. When you watch Big bang theory, you will see these incredibly intelligent group of young men who are knowledgeable about every facet of various sci-fi and fantasy fan favorites. They know every detail of comic book characters, but they are completely ignorant about everyday things and social skills. I also felt SO hopeful only to be disappointed with the results. All of my circle, friends , family voted for Kamala. It was truly unexpected. When he took Georgia, and Pennsylvania started to lean red, I knew it was over. But we need to be strong for our community now! We need to show love and support for each other! We MUST stop the cycle of violence and hatred! ❤
