Hi, just trying to be more aware of the world around me.
Have you heard of Project 2025?
I know a lot of people are really struggling with to vote or not to vote? If you choose not to vote or are anti-voting, I respect your choice.
This video is not for you. I am not trying to convince any one of anything.
For me personally, Voting is not an end all be all, it's just one of the many tools of civic engagement and I plan to use any and all tools available to me when it comes to using my voice to advocate for change in my country.
Social media, voting, learning, educating, organizing.
I hope you'll come along for the ride.
Read the policy agenda here:
static.project2025.org/2025_M...
Additional Resources to take a nonpartisan approach to learning about elections and becoming more civically engaged, there are several reputable websites that provide valuable resources::
ballotpedia.org/Main_Page
League of Women Voters (lwv.org): Offers nonpartisan information about elections, voting rights, and encourages informed and active participation in government.
Civic Nation (civicnation.org): Powers initiatives aimed at increasing civic engagement and education on critical social issues, including voter participation and education.
Annenberg Classroom (annenbergclassroom.org): Provides a wealth of resources for understanding the U.S. Constitution and government, designed especially for educators and students.
iCivics (icivics.org): Founded by Justice Sandra Day O’Connor, this site offers interactive games and lessons to educate students about civics and inspire them to be active participants in democracy.
The Center for Election Innovation and Research (electioninnovation.org): Focuses on improving election administration through innovative practices and technologies.
National Voter Education Week (votereducationweek.org): Provides resources to help voters understand how to cast their ballots confidently and become more informed about the voting process.

I too am cautious about talking politics. I'm surprised that even some of my own family members don't like for me to talk about politics but I am going to put this message out and spread it as much as I can so that we all are informed because this needs a lot of coverage thank you so much. We can’t hope to just leave this country and allow it to become what we don’t wish to see manifest… it will take the people using the power in numbers to become more aware of what’s happening and how we can do something about it. We don’t need everyone trying to do massive things, but it will take everyone doing their part. ❤

hi-it's two weeks later and i'm a stranger, but i wanted to pop in to say something, as someone almost twice your age (i turn 30 on halloween). it's my job, not yours, to do something. what you do, is you comfort yourself in every way you know how, and i mean that. definitely educate yourself-and i'm not infantilizing you, i promise-but you chill and you relax and you manage your anxiety in whatever way is most effective, because it is my job and the job of the adults around you to keep you safe. it is my job and the job of the adults around you and your friends to do what we can, and use our voices and our votes and our literal bodies to put space between you and what would hurt you. that being said, you can always start digging in for next time, when you will be able to vote-looking out for candidates in your community, seeing if there's even just a reddit for your community online. finding out there was one for my state was incredible-i never post there, but i do lurk, and i've learned a lot by doing that. even when you can't act, you can observe, and that observation can be very, very valuable, too. observations are just actions you can't make yet.

I started following you based on a few rollerskating videos...didn't bargain for all of this 😅😂. Love that you are well-spoken and educated on the topics you care about. If I had to put a label on it, I'm a right leaning libertarian. I believe the less government intervention, the better. I have lived abroad the past 7 years. My question to every one who says they would like to leave the US...where exactly do you think is better? No snark, I'm genuinely curious. My experience is that Europe has high taxes, pitiful wages, low work ethic, a housing crisis and the government has their hand in everything. For example, the EU recently banned glitter. Like really? Glitter? Okay. In the case of an EU country, you are dealing with local government, national government, AND EU regulations (they love throwing out a handful of new bans and restrictions annually)Anyways if someone knows where this place outside of America, that is so much better, is located, let me know please! 😂 . Anyway all this to say I'm still sticking around for rollerskating content!❤

@DasiaDoesIt hey there's room for all kinds of us in this world right! Hahaha I'm from the South in the US and I live in the UK. I haven't moved back permanently yet because of my husband's job. He's a British citizen. I just love Americans so much obvs and I believe in our abilities as a nation and a people to overcome all of the current political and societal issues. I'm 38 and I've lived on the west coast, the south, the east coast, Mexico, the Caribbean, and several parts of Western Europe and in my humble opinion, Americans have an unmatched spirit. So for me it's sad to see that others would want to leave over things like CRT, gender ideology, and diversity and equity training when in reality, there are not many places in the world where that is the universal common/ standard curriculum or workplace education. The US is also business owner and entrepreneur friendly in comparison to a majority of the world map. Also, in comparison, in the US, innovation is fostered and valued in a way that goes mostly unrecognised because we grew up around it, so it is the norm, IMO. Don't get me started on taxes lol (which admittedly can go a number of ways , if you feel your tax dollars are going for good, then great) as a bonus, I would strongly encourage everyone to truly understand the ins and outs of socialised medicine before wishing it were so. I believe better alternatives are possible. I would say, learn from the mistakes already being made by countries that have it in place rather than wearing rose coloured glasses. Also, everyone please learn multiple economic theories in order to create truly actionable theories and opinions on how to create change! ❤️ ETA: I'm just trying to learn all this stuff too 😭 😂 ETA: The reason I mention economics is because proper financial education could really do alot towards levelling the playing field. US schools barely teach anything about finances 👀 mmhmm I grew up poor and it was NOT fun. So why don't they teach us how to get out of it? Ya know. Even university level financial majors only learn how to operate within the banking system that is in place.

To be fair... I think the politicians on the Democratic side are more or less pushing for the same things with few exceptions. If they say different it is a lie. Example- in california there is this push to address affordable housing and they are forcing cities to make quick developments all around. In our city- I have found that most of the plans are demolishing already low income housing, and then replacing it with big developments with a small portion of "affordable " units (example 450 of the most affordable units in our city- approx 1500/month fixed rate apartments were torn down to be replaced with 1500 units with 20% ie. 300 units being "affordable" based on median income- so they can charge 30% of 120k a year... 36k a year- significantly more than the price before. there is the argument that increasing supply will lower the cost of.living over all... but... the reality is we are running out low and middle class in our area and uppermiddle class population is rising and will be willing to pay these higher prices. So the reality is Democratic plans are making the same people rich are not helping normal people, and pretending they are different. They do publish agendas, but when you whittle down to how they plan to actually implement them or live in a community where you can see them in action... it is disheartening. Another one that doesn't seem to make sense- california had a surplus a year or two back and wrote everyone a check (this was for votes clearly) because they could have used that money to address something like homelessness. Instead they bought votes, and then turned around with a plan to make investors money at the cost of the tax payer for us to foot the bill of prop 1 with interest. And at this point I see so much evidence that the state doesn't even want to help these people, they just want to look like they are. And their buddies get rich in the process.

Yes, democrats aren’t perfect. Nowhere near it. Corruption exists there too, but what Dasia is tackling in this video is agenda that is clearly anti-human. It just so happens to be a conservative agenda. I mean literally by definition, conservatism is solely interested in following tradition and stopping progression of the socioeconomic state of a country. Times have changed, policy needs to change as well. Our world is dying, and our “traditions” have brought that upon us. It is probably too late, but if there is any hope, we need a major change to policy. I will never understand why basic human compassion is a partisan issue in this country..
