Your argument is that no reasonable person understands our government to be a pure democracy, and that is a valid point. The problem is that most people don't know enough civics to understand the complex nature of our government. That means that when progressives start yelling about how the electoral college stands against the ideals our cherished Democracy, most people don't know enough to understand why the electoral college was created in the first place. The reason some people have started to emphasize that we are a republic is so that maybe people will stop and hopefully take a moment to learn how our system works. We have a terrible lack of education in our country about its Constitution.

You should look into the dirt that Elon actually uncovered. They have been stealing our tax money for years. This is infuriating.
