We didn't have a Grand Illusions Halloween episode this year so I'll consider this one the Halloween 2024 entry. Thanks so much to the Grand Illusions team for these amazing videos. After watching them at least once to see these amazing novelties, I find the videos work really well as background noise for work, gaming or even sleeping (as long as there aren't any noisy toys). So thanks Grand Illusions, happy Halloween, happy El Dia de Los Muertos & happy All Saints Day.

I accidentally discovered the reverse face illusion when I was making a video for a copper mask I had made on my channel. Some people can see it, some cannot. Thank you, Tim.
@RFC351426 күн бұрын
Pretty much everyone can "see it" if they close one eye and the object is lit from below. If you're close, the light is wrong and you have both eyes open, your brain figures out the parallax and that kind of spoils the illusion.

@bostonrailfan242726 күн бұрын

@RFC351426 күн бұрын
Why? It's just turning a shaft, and everything is very loose, so there's hardly any friction. Most wall clocks have to lift comparatively heavier hands, and still run for months on a AA battery.
@Brekner25 күн бұрын
@@RFC3514 Well, I can't tell how heavy it is. If that's solid metal, turning it seems like it would take a lot of power.
@RFC351425 күн бұрын
@@Brekner - It's hollow plastic. Even if it were solid metal, it would mainly depend on friction, since it's just being rotated, not _lifted._
