Edward Teller ironically (because he himself has been controversial for odd reasons) once wrote, "Sometimes we have to do that which is very difficult. Sometimes we have to think." That's in his book, 'The Pursuit of Simplicity', which also is his definition of science.

I’m right there with you, Russ. I question the optimist’s sincerity in their beliefs. We are chameleon like and often say something and then say or do the opposite, (for myriad reasons), the next minute.

For me, it undermined the credibility of Google’s results. What else are they getting wrong? Reinforces the importance of corroboration and skepticism.
