I was seriously impressed with his election coverage, I watched starting at 7PM on election night. Trump was down 12 in PA and I was like "wtf", DG said it was totally expected, he knew how the counties were reported and basically narrated the whole night like he knew everything that was going to happen. He said Trump would get 312, which is exactly what he got. Getting every state right, that's how you build credibility! Impressive.

Trump must also work with Congress to pass LAWS for his policies to support his executive orders. Executive orders can undone by the next President, but it's much harder to repeal a law.
@reignman30Күн бұрын
You have to be careful about setting precedent by abusing executive orders. If Trump does a lot of stuff you like, the next democrat president will come in and do a bunch of stuff you don't like via executive order. I'd rather he try to get things done through congress.

The feasibility and likelihood of implementing each of these proposals during a hypothetical second Trump administration vary widely, and many depend on political, economic, and practical constraints. Here’s an assessment of each major area: 1. Mass Deportations and Immigration Reform Feasibility: Mass deportations and strict immigration reform would face legal challenges and significant logistical hurdles, especially if current sanctuary policies and local enforcement resist federal efforts. Funding and political support for mass deportations would require substantial backing in Congress and cooperation at state and local levels. Likelihood: Although Republicans may prioritize stricter border security, achieving mass deportations and finishing the border wall would likely remain contentious and difficult to execute in full. 2. Education Reform and Trade Promotion Feasibility: Incentivizing trade careers could be achievable through tax incentives, grants, and partnerships with trade schools and unions. Reforming college-centric education policy may also see bipartisan support in some aspects. Likelihood: With the current focus on vocational education across party lines, this reform could be partially feasible, but achieving a widespread cultural shift away from college may be challenging. 3. Energy Independence through Nuclear Expansion Feasibility: Expanding nuclear energy would require significant upfront investment and could face regulatory, safety, and environmental obstacles. Public skepticism toward nuclear power may also affect feasibility. Likelihood: Trump could certainly push for energy independence, but widespread nuclear expansion might remain difficult due to public and regulatory opposition. Emphasizing fossil fuels may be more likely. 4. Foreign Policy Goals and War Resolution Feasibility: While the president can influence diplomacy, ending conflicts like those in Ukraine and Israel-Palestine would likely exceed even a president's power, given the complexity of international relations and resistance from other global powers. Likelihood: A Trump administration could try to reduce U.S. financial involvement in foreign conflicts, but unilateral withdrawal from NATO obligations would be unlikely. The complexity of international conflicts limits the potential for quick resolutions. 5. Health and Obesity Initiatives Feasibility: Reducing the national obesity rate would require a multifaceted approach involving health policy, education, and food regulation. Past efforts to curb obesity have shown mixed results, often influenced by cultural factors and personal choice. Likelihood: Likely limited, as achieving significant change in the obesity rate would require long-term strategies that may extend beyond one administration. 6. Greenland Purchase and Territorial Expansion Feasibility: Purchasing Greenland is improbable, as Denmark and Greenland have shown no interest in selling. Additionally, international treaties and regional resistance make such territorial acquisitions unlikely. Likelihood: This remains extremely unlikely, especially considering Denmark’s refusal during Trump’s first term. 7. Patriotism, American Manufacturing, and Reducing Reliance on China Feasibility: Promoting patriotism and increasing domestic manufacturing align with Trump’s “America First” philosophy. Policies to reduce reliance on Chinese manufacturing could gain traction, but significant shifts in trade practices would face economic and logistical challenges. Likelihood: Likely some aspects would be achievable, especially if tariffs or incentives for domestic production are instituted, although complete independence from Chinese manufacturing is unrealistic in the short term. 8. National Voter ID and Election Transparency Feasibility: Implementing a national voter ID law would require federal action, which may face legal challenges on the grounds of state rights and potential voter suppression. Likelihood: This remains politically divisive, and federal mandates on elections are historically contested. Improving vote-counting speed may see bipartisan support, but a sweeping federal ID law is unlikely. 9. Transparency Laws on Government Spending Feasibility: Increasing transparency on government spending could be achievable through executive orders and partnerships with government accountability agencies. Likelihood: Some transparency initiatives could succeed, but full annual itemization would likely face practical obstacles and concerns over data sensitivity. 10. Free Speech on Social Media Feasibility: Introducing laws requiring large social media companies to follow First Amendment-like standards could face First Amendment and business challenges. Social media companies are currently regulated as private entities, with distinct legal protections under Section 230. Likelihood: The proposal to legally enforce speech standards on private platforms would likely face intense legal pushback and would require a significant shift in current law. 11. Family Support Policies and Religious Promotion Feasibility: Implementing family support policies would require Congress’s backing and could potentially gain bipartisan support if structured as economic relief. Likelihood: There may be partial progress, such as tax breaks or subsidies, but a widespread cultural shift toward family growth and religious values would be harder to enforce through policy alone. 12. Government Accountability, Debt Reduction, Healthcare Reform, and Second Amendment Protection Feasibility: Efforts to reduce government overreach, defend the Second Amendment, or reform healthcare could align with Trump’s support base, but would face various obstacles, including cost and political gridlock in Congress. Likelihood: Certain conservative priorities, like trimming government spending, may see progress, but sweeping changes to healthcare or debt reduction are less likely within a single term. Summary In a potential second term, some aspects, such as education reform, energy independence initiatives, and manufacturing incentives, might be achievable to a degree. However, others, like mass deportations, ending foreign conflicts, Greenland acquisition, and complete social media transparency, face substantial obstacles and are unlikely to be fully realized due to legal, logistical, or geopolitical limits.

And I hope he follows through on that term limits thing. It probably won't get done ofc because the people that it affects are the people who get to vote on it, but he can put a lot of attention on it. Is there anyone who disagrees with such a thing, left or right? Put it on the ballot, and let the people decide. I bet it passes in a landslide.

You talk about encouraging people to have families in America but I think Trump needs to get rid of these biased family courts. Modern day feminism has ruined many men here from the me too movement to no fault divorce. So many men have checked out and not interested in even dating women anymore. Get rid of these ridiculous family court laws and maybe we might come back.
