i thought this SAME thing and swear there was marketing around them being on the same night but nope. 2 different release dates. Mandela? Maybe Rags was released on dvd first then on Nick the same day Let It Shine dropped?

Rags and Let It Shine were two of my favorite movies when I was a kid! I was devastated that hardly anyone knew or talked about them again. I listened to the soundtracks to both regularly from then on and even still do today. Do either of these movies make much sense? Nope XD but they are so fun! and I seriously love the music hehe

Rags is a boy version of the cinderella story. Nick was fighting hard to compete with Disney at this point. If I had to choose between rags and let it shine, rags.

I definitely ate this movie up when it came out bc i was already pretty obsessed with max and keke at the time lol i thought they were so clever for doing a reversed gender Cinderella story 😂 Also Nick had very little musical content like this so a Disney girl like me had to get into it
