Hey Stephen, this is one of the best lessons you put out. The refined every day practice is worth so much. Even as I progress into higher stages on the success path, this is worth so much. Basic training and fundamentals are always adding to growth. The best thing here is that those basic pillars are connected and come into a realistic application. Especially the coordination department can grow like crazy, if developed by a method and practiced regularly. This new pdf is a great starting point for everyone and can be developed individually with growing skills.

HI Stephen! I just started about a month and a half ago, and your videos have been so helpful. Sometimes, it feels maddening that I'm STILL practicing the proper grip and going so slow, but your vids really help my confidence.

Another great video mate. 37 year old from Australia 🦘 I have been drumming for one of my hobbies on and off since 10 years old but not until now I never bothered to commit time and practise Daily to progress further rather then just playing a couple times a year to friends and cousins those same 2 or 3 beats mastered over and over again because I was too lazy to progress and learn when things got tough. Thankfully at 37 years young I have decided to start from scratch and I have watched many of your videos and they have all been absolutely fantastic. I've been practising everyday for 6 months now and after watching your videos, my hands are about three times faster than before just by learning proper hand and finger techniques. Thank you for doing what you do.

I love it! This is pretty close to what I do with Funky Primer. Rather than hi-hat 8ths, I try and use different ostinatos, between left foot, and right and left cymbals (I have a symmetric cymbal layout, with left and right rides and left and right crashes). That totally helps develop flow and independence., given the huge number of different snare/kick patterns in Funky Primer. You can spend days on just one of the exercises there, and gradually move to more and more complex ones. Thanks for the video, the approach makes perfect sense!

Hi Stephen, once again a great video. Was wondering whether you can also do videos for intermediate or even advanced players too. Thanks!

I think it also helps to work with ALL styles of music. Step outside of your NORMAL brand.
