I haven't stepped out since Feb. We attended a friend's wedding virtually last week and I cried when getting ready because I felt such a deep sadness of not having had the chance to dress up this whole year. It was such therapy to be able to just scrub my face clean, put on makeup and wear beautiful clothes. My husband and I have since decided we are going to have date nights at home every week and we're going to go all out to look nice! Yay! 😁❤️

I have watched this series since episode 1 and this specific episode made me tear up a bit when you said, “Style is not trivial.” For some people, it is everything as it is their form of release, expression, and symbol of survival by showing “hey, i’m still here, alive, and kicking!” especially during these times of claustrophobia and limited movement.

These love notes to the city are EVERYTHING. In case no one has mentioned what a talented filmmaker and documentarian you’re becoming, I’m mentioning it! (You’re director, narrator, interviewer, cinematographer, and editor all in one.) I hope you’re considering compiling footage from these into a documentary film about New York in ‘19 - ‘20 (and beyond?) through the lens of its citizens and their fashion. You’re telling an ongoing and compelling tale that could have a story arc and messages involving enduring, surviving, and overcoming the challenges of our times. I see Sundance in your future 😍🎥

I was once stopped by a person working at my local supermarket, remarking that my coat made him feel as if the sun had come out just for him. Here in Maryland, I donated things to the Goodwill....as well as purchased a few nice things also.I just LOVE being a woman...and staying true to myself....And I started wearing my clothes instead of being in sweats all the time!....So, I rearranged my large apartment, cleaned out and rearranged closets, prior to this pandemic, Last 2 years I brought extra accessories for me, and my apartment!....I feel no matter what we are going through, who we are with, .......Never lose ourselves or our minds!......For me, I downsized to a large apartment, Pray and meditate, maintain a healthy weight and diet, light exercise/weights, keep a regular routine (walking my puppy, reading, helping others, cooking, family, gardening, etc.) and a Balanced frugal lifestyle, and regular health maintainence (mammogram, dentist, gyn, vision, etc)....PEACE and ma ny Blessings ,and Good Health to Everyone!!!

I love these episodes so much since I live in New Zealand and I feel so isolated from the rest of the world rn, but watching this transports me somewhere else and it’s so cool knowing what other people are going through, exploring other perspectives and how they express even their political views through what they wear. Thank you Karen 💜

For the last 10 years my growing interest with style and clothes, had really got me through rough times, including the first lockdown, here in Israel. Now we are on our second lockdown and i feel like a balloon pop out of its air completely. The chaos of politics doing in the name of covid-19 is over whelming. I hope i'll find the way back into this little piece of joy in fashion and thrifting and get back on the wagon of dressing for my liking. I'm wishing for better days for the human kind.

This series should be on tv Definitely. Love it. You make them all feel at ease and talk easily. Quite a skill to stop a stranger and being able to chat

I love Karen's videos so much too and was inspired to see what people where I live are wearing. I decided to interview people here in Los Angeles to see how fashion compares! Just put the video up :) Definitely a bit of a social experiment to see how East Coast and West Coast style differentiate!

I loved the last woman's hat! My fav was the flowy skirt with the sweatshirt that matched. Love love love these. My hope for NY is that rental prices come down. I hate to see the shops close. It's a trying time we're in for sure.

I've been here with you for all of your What Everyone Is Wearing In New York series. Such a great series...so many fun and colorful people. It's so sad to see the signs of businesses closing. Makes me really appreciate what I have ❤💚💜💙💛

Excellent! Love these episodes. Bill Cunningham is watching from wherever and pleased to have passed the torch. Thanks for the multiple RBG quote shots and the VOTE shot and for hanging in there with us fellow NYers. Love you, Karen!

Same in London with the shops closing. Especially charity shops (thrift shops) as most of the volunteers are scared due to being elderly, plus loss of money/leases running out.
