My 2008 CR-V Just hit 200,000 miles. The only problems I have had are that I had to replace the A/C twice! That was about $2,000 repair each time, but considering no other major repairs, I have no complaints. I will definitely be looking for a new CR-V when the time comes to replace it. I appreciate the information on the possible changes to the 2022, as that's what I am trying to figure out if I should wait for 2022 or possibly 2023 if possible, to get the latest and greatest.

I have a 97 CR-V and it's at 204,000 miles but it's super reliable, AC works really good and it runs great, way bigger interior then all these new ones but I'm still looking to upgrade, but I'm definitely not in a hurry

Bought new CR-V in 2014. Absolutely no problems. Totaled it Nov 30 2021. 😪 Hard to get, so ordered new one Jan 23, 2022 should be delivered in a few days Mar 24-28th. Can't wait !🤗

I just got a 22 crv hybrid touring Friday and have put about 24 miles on it so far. It's nice, don't get me wrong, but its so mom van vanilla. The stereo sucks so bad. I also have a Kia Sorento hybrid s AWD and I really like the styling, captains chairs and 10 year warranty so much better BUT it's been in the shop since may 25th and it's looking like a buyback so I guess it's not so great a car...lol So far, so good on the Honda

I have been driving the 2015, I have never had any major problems with it. It is the best car I had ever owned. Still love it but small interior, not much storage. Quiet outside sound with windows up.

2018 CRV and Civic -- Issue with thermostat yo yo up and down on cold mornings. The cab takes for ever to heat up , lucky I have heated seats and heated steering wheel. Dealer tells me there’s nothing wrong -- am sure now that’s it’s out of warranty they will have a nice expensive fix.

My 2017 CR-V EX-L with 50,000 miles consistently gets 34-35 mpg locally and 38-40 mpg on the highways. How Honda can make a 1.5 turbo get such good mileage and still deliver such smooth and quiet power is testimony to their engineering prowess. I don’t know if the CR-V is better than comparable compact SUVs, but I can’t imagine how they could improve on the CR-V. It does lack some comfort features (like ventilated seats), but its storage capacity is enormous. And its walk-away “auto lock” feature even bests Toyota. When I see the new small trucks coming like the Santa Cruz and the Maverick, I realize that they are just compact SUVs with no rear sides or roof. So unless you need to carry tall items, then a compact SUV is much more functional (but maybe not as macho) …..

@@etothej I have a 2021 CR-V EX-L with 4230 miles and I just started getting 32mpg on highway. I hope they give the interior a remodel. Something like the new Honda Civic. Maybe a slightly stronger engine to, but thats not my biggest concern.

The L15BE must be a great 1.5 turbo engine. I just bought a 2022 EX.

We bought the 2021 CR-V Hybrid. It has the 2.0L engine instead of the 1.5L turbo in the base model. We wish they would come out with a CR-V hybrid plug in - to compete with the RAV4 Prime and the soon to be released Hyundai Santa Fe plug in.

The plug in was released in China last year at the Beijing Auto Show. I'm really hoping to hear news of a North American release before the year is out.

Why do you want a plug in? My neighbor has a plug-in hybrid and is sick of dealing with the cord. Kids trip over it and he has to wind it up every time he is in a rush. Just a hassle.

@@tho464 Does you neighbor like paying for high gas prices ? On a typical day we drive under 30 miles. With a plug in hybrid that means NO gas. Let the gas stations shut down with shortages ! However under normal situations if we want to go for a long drive across the country - you simply let the gas engine take over - you never have to plug in if you don't want to. Best of both worlds !

Good gods, that prospective 2022 vehicle is huge. The current-generation CR-V is already pretty chonky, but like... does this mean they're releasing some kind of 'XR-V' between the two extant models? Or will there just be a big hole in their lineup? Or is that simply not a CR-V? We have been very happy with contemporary CR-V models, but our usage case does not call for a hulking minivan-like abomination as shown here. We'd just get a Passport or Pilot, in that case.

Hybrids getter better mileage in city driving vs. highway due to more braking, which is how the battery charges.

I get 35-40 mpg on my 2017 EX-L. How Honda can make a 1.5 turbo have so much power and smoothness but with such stellar mileage is testimony to Honda’s engineering prowess. And so much cargo space …..

We just traded our 2018 crv. We could no longer tolerate the extreme road noise We tried new very expensive tires, to no avail. Entertainment center would go in and out. We traded it for a Ford Edge, worlds of difference. I would stay away from a crv.
