Joe I started watching you. I’m a bills fan in Honolulu and wanted to tell you I’m retired and listen to sports reports from all media. Allow me to tell you I find you the best. You know your facts and your analysis is superb. You have such a bright future but the down side for me when you are recruited to a major network we will lose your detailed correct analysis about particularly the bills Congratulations I’m not one of your decouples

I think when people say No. 2 receiver, they mean the second perimeter receiver. It seems like it's generally ranked as the top-2 lead perimeter receivers, then the slot receiver listed as the No. 3.

Joe worked with Curtis back in Carolina, he will get the full potential out of Curtis. He had over 1000 scrimmage yards with Brady as his coordinator

I loved the Curtis Samuel idea cause it really feels like there's real upside potential considering his athletic skillset and prior qb play. similar idea to darnell mooney but we got him a hell of a lot cheaper. i do want another rookie receiver on this team, but im feeling much more comfortable being able to pick defense early. great pod as always

Over the last 3 seasons the bills have had overall rosters that could win a superbowl. Wholesale changes could put them there again. Hopefully this team can jell and take that final step

If Samuel stays healthy this is asneaky great move he’s never had anything good throwing to him and his skill set is perfect for Joe Brady offense and he should mesh very well with diggzy I like this pick up

Just a tweet on Draft Kings, a hypothetical obviously but Diggs to Houston for the 23rd pick & a 3rd rd pick.. Clowntonio Brown put out a tweet on his CTe page that Houston was looking to acquire Diggs.. 1st & a 3rd seems to good to be true but id take that, could easily move up & get the WR ya want with that, could take another in the 2nd, that should replace Diggs production..

Wow body catcher ????? That’s the best catch Rated Guy … that’s what Knox and Davis absolutely lacked ……. Body catching is a 3 point catch ( 2 hands plus body ) which makes drops after hits less likely. … I am very very excited , if he’s a body catcher …

One thing that I wish you commentators/analyst would talk about more is the kind of pass that Allen throws that are more likely to be caught. Josh doesn't really throw the ball well on passes that can be turned into yards after catch. Because of that the offense needs to be more focused on the 15 to 35 yard pass that Josh can fire on a line. Josh to Diggs on the flair out within + or - 5 yards of the line of scrimmage is a waste of play. Neither one, Diggs or Josh are good at that play. Josh can throw the ball on a line 40 yards sometimes even when the receiver is on a fly but he is not particularly good at lobbing the bomb. The other thing the Bills (and commentators) should be doing is talking to the NFL about the pass interference where the defender has the arms of the receiver pinned. Sherfield isn't on the Bills team this year because at least 4 times last year, Josh threw him the ball on a line and the defender tackled him prior to the ball getting there. None of those tackles were called PI. The Bills and Bills fans need to make sure we expect those calls to be made in the future because those are the kind of passes Josh throws best. From your analysis of Samuel - he lets the ball come to his body, he is going to see a lot of the same PI as Sherfield. We need to nip that in the bud early.

They really are just pieces. None are game changing signings but I think Samuel is the most intriguing if they use him properly and he performs like he should. Hopefully this is the year because I don’t know how many more deflating exits I can take 😂 on a side note if kj hamler can stay healthy with these two receivers man look out. Let’s hope

Agree, they still need better than Samuel for it to be "the year" 1 or 2 more WRs that can play on the Boundary than worry about defense

This signing says a lot. 1. Brady was with the Panthers when Samuels had his best year, so there is that connection. 2. The Bills top 3 WRs are short, and operate best in space close to the line of scrimmage. They don't have a true, typical, downfield jump ball WR on the roster. That says to me that Brady intends on keeping everything short, and make the throws quick and easy for Josh. I don't think they want him launching the ball down the field on the margins. The only big, deep threat they now have is Kincaid, who can absolutely stretch the middle of the field. This signing shows me that they want to run the ball a ton (with Cooks, Allen, and probably Samuels too), and get the ball out of Allen's hands fast with quick, explosive WRs that operate close to the line. Of course this is just how the current team is constructed, and everything could change with the draft. But limiting Josh's down field attempts, and thus his down field mistakes, appears to be the direction the team is headed, and also explains the lack of Davis' production as the season progressed last year.

I mean yes and no. Mack Hollins is a jump ball guy that's a big body wr. But he performs great in special teams. So he maybe used a bit in both.

Samuel is slower then you think, also he will not take the top off a D and he has trouble with big corners,he's a slot guy that is why i was shocked the picked him over Hollywood, don't let this guy fool you he can't play on the outside,he will be a bust if your expecting 800-1000 yd wr,may get 3-4 hundred,he is injury prone,he only averages 4yac

Samuel sounds like Percy Harvin, only not nearly as productive. Instead of meting out 8 million a year on a guy who to me, sounds like a great athlete but a middling WR, why not sign a promising 25;or under safety when there were 3 or 4 available in free agency? Dumb

Isn't it telling that Samuel and his representative were either happy taking this deal, OR, unable to secure a WR2 payday or better anywhere else? To me the Bills offered a WR3/WR4 role to him and wanted to pay him as such and he was happy to accept; Samuel essentially acknowledged to us before he said a word that he is a depth add only. Not complaining, just being realistic...he has been a fringe fantasy football target of mine the past two years and its hard for me to decipher how much of his lack of consistency is the QB and overall offense in a crowded space with McLaurin and Dotson vs. his own ability. In terms of deployment, no special teams comments about Samuel and I don't see him having had that role in his career with quick checks. Will this change, is there potential he catches punts with Hines gone, and not Shakir?

Lot of money for a depth signing and next to chance that he plays any special teams. He’s an upgrade to Shakir at the moment and is clearly part of a much bigger picture.

He's a league minimum WR5 with some production when called upon. He doesn't keep them from doing anything additional at the position through the draft. Good depth signing. Refer to the first reply in this thread for my thoughts on this take.
