Thanks for this video. I do wood burning art (pyrography) and having trouble when I do art during night. Now I found the right info on your video :) Going for graphica pro tubes of Philips with 90CRI :)

Jan Just curious what degree you received. I’m interested in this subject and curious if there are lighting-specific areas of study, or just general interior design.

1. what causes 2 light sources with the same CCT has different CRI? 2. what causes 2 light sources with the same CRI(for example: 70Ra) has different CCT? 3. Assuming 2 light sources(A&B) both got continuous spectrum(Ra=100), but A's CCT is higher than B, can I say "the only difference between A&B is the amount of each frequency"? can anyone help on my questions?

Good explanation on the Wurkkos hD15R but why do people need or worry about the CRI this is a total waste of time. What is more important is that you do not get a horrible green tint or very yellow tint What is more important is the quality of the beam that it has no strange artefacts and has some good throw to boot would be a bonus . And the people that rave on about CRI get a life what are doing out at night looking at how good the 8 pastel colours are . How many of you do cinematography be Honest less than one percent. So stop ranting on about the CRI and CCT . If you are out trekking thats all you need is a good light I personally like 6000Kelvin I do night Photography i don’t care about CRI.I take photograph at night and the last thing i worry about is CRI. So please get of this band wagon.
