Just hoping the vcarb can get their b spec rear wing fixed in time for the race. They had to run their previous spec rear wing with the new b spec upgrades for Spain and they certainly did not mesh well together 😂 hoping to get some positive results here and moving forward

But lando is not far off ,It wasn’t like he was in a dominant rb and lost an obv win . In Canada they lost cuz their adv was gone cuz of the sc (as they were fastest only in inters condition & third fastest in full dry ) . Imola max was as fast as lando was towards the start of the race, they neutralised each other with being quick during different segments. Monaco it’s hoping too much , to combine two different laps which they would need for pole( as for lando , he had his last run in Monaco bit compromised cuz of Sainz) . In Spain just got pinched in after getting pole in t1 , but drove brilliantly without any mistakes thereafter.

Lando if u wanna do statically is 4 years less experienced than max , He has his flaws but it aint like he is in a dominant car that he can win from any setback .The rb and mcl is still close ,seeing that the difference was the way the start sequence played out .Which can be improved just like back in 23 when max worked on improving his starts although it dint matter much for max back then with where rb were

It's very exciting to have 4 teams fighting for podiums and even the top step. I can't remember the last time we had four teams. As others have stated, i hope Aston gets back into the podium conversation. Alonso is one of my favorite drivers to watch drive a car that he can push hard. This season is getting better as it progresses and we can all watch with excitement this season as opposed to hoping and looking forward to next season.

I think it’s very possible that they just didn’t understand the upgrades in the first weekend. Hopefully they can turn it back around this weekend. As a Yuki fan, the more VCARB and even Haas are competitive, the more fun it makes watching throughout the entire grid.

It’s only select few corners so it won’t really impact the race

Red Bull seems to struggle predominantly on those big elevated curbs you sort of have to bounce your car over. Around Imola, we saw them in Variante Alte (corners 14 and 15). That's where McLaren had the advantage over the Red Bull. We also saw those kinds of curbs at the inside of corner 15 at the slow section where you go under that bridge with the highway in Miami, where Max went off in the race. Austria doesn't seem to have those kinds of curbs. You do have them at corner 3 in Austria, but you don't have to go over them to be fast as they’re a bit further from the racing line. In Miami and Imola you have to go over them to be fast...

Kerbs are only important at the first corner and the last corner in Austria and it’s arguable if the cars should really be taking much kerb at all on the inside in the last corner. It’s a complete non factor in Austria imo.

I'm expecting a Lando win here. The RB20's biggest advantage is very high speed corners which there isnt enough of, and Mclaren has been known to be fast around here, and Lando loves this track. I think Lando wins with less than 5 seconds ahead of Max

Even though Mercedes was quick in Canada I feel like they will be slow as they still have rear instability. Easy to say when you are not an engineer. Neway was the only among the chief technical director that had worked when their was ground effect cars. Many things we know now, like importance of suspension and proposing etc, were not that known at the time. In hindsight it is easy to criticize.

Plus they probably have the best lineup on the grid, since Red Bull/Max being dragged down by Perez at the moment.

The best upgrade coming to Austria are the upgrades to Austria itself! They added strips of gravel outside the kerbs of the worst offender corners. So if you drop a wheel over the kerb, you're going to lose time. But there's still runoff in case you go off big.
