Looks like a good cooler. I've sometimes laid drinks on the sides to get more space. Thanks for the video brother

You can also freeze a bottle of water and use that instead. If you have access to a freezer during ur road trip, this works great and saves space as you can drink the frozen water too!

Honestly, I would like to see an ice retention challenge between the roadie 15 and the pelican 14 qt. Also in comparison, even though the yeti is built slightly more durable and perhaps it has slightlybetter ice retention I believe the pelican offers you more bang for your buck. And this is why… the pelican comes with the dry storage compartment at the top of the lid yeti does not have that it also comes with a dry storage basket, which you have to buy with yeti The pelican also has a bottle opener with a magnetic catch which yeti does not have . It also comes with a place to put your lock which comes standard. With yeti you have to order the locking mechanism thingy, even though it comes free. There is no drilling accessories and all of that nonsense with the pelican. With the yeti in order to place that locking mechanism thingy you have to screw this yourself not to mention if you want a bottle opener you will have to purchase a $20 bottle opener and screw that in yourself into a $200 cooler yikes. So my friend, would you please do an honest review of the yeti 15 and a pelican 14. Ty.

Best place to buy is REI with a 10% member rebate or the 20% off member coupons that we get multiple times a year

That’s exactly how I got my Roadie 24 and Roadie 48. Best way to get a deal on a Yeti. Thanks for watching and the comment.

How is the rubber seal compared to the roadie 24? I noticed it’s a lot thinner.

Nice video! Do you know if two bottles of wine or champaign can lay down on its side a long with a large thin yeti ice put vertically between the two bottles?

Hey Chris, thanks for the info/video! Question- just purchased a roadie 15 but wanna invest in the yeti ice. What size would you recommend and how many ice would be optimal? (I’ll also be using ice as well. Thank you
@bmcculloch973 күн бұрын
YETI recommends the Thin Ice, 1x Medium and 1x Small. The Large won't fit at all.

Nice. I have a Hopper 12 for short road trips. Looks like you prefer hard cooler over soft even in the small sizes?
@BarnYardOutdoors2 күн бұрын
Yes I do. I just like the solid structure and durability with the hard sided coolers.

I have been very interested in this cooler. One big question I have is will it fit the standard 4Lb. yeti ice blocks? I have a ton of 1,2,4 Lb. Yeti ice blocks and if they'll fit ill buy it in a heartbeat. I saw it works with the thin ice but id like to be able to use what I already have
@Colton352 күн бұрын
I just got the roadie 15 and I have the standard yeti ice too. The large 4lb doesn’t fit, 1 medium fits or 2 small on the bottom. If you lay the large on its side you can fit it but you wont be able to fit the basket. Hope that helps

Do you think you could use it as a lunchpail for work or too big too bulky can you do a side-by-side comparison my buddies have the pelican as a lunch cooler
@justinconnor66612 күн бұрын
I have a pelican 14qt too and when measuring there doesn’t seem to be a huge size difference to where it will be a real noticeable difference but lugging the yeti would be easier with The straps than the pelican. I take my pelican to work and carrying it by the handle isnt that great. Definitely would like to have a shoulder strap

How much can be packed using a 2 or 4 pound Yeti Ice, or the ice block(s) you use?

I have all of the thin Yeti Ice blocks and I’m curious which one will be best. So yes I’d love to see him demonstrate that.

I have he original Roadie 29 with solid metal handle. I would not trade it for the 15 or 24/ maybe…..24 if it had wheels. Any thoughts ..
@vettedsin3 күн бұрын
i had the original roadie 20 with the metal handle, have the roadie 24 now. if i had to do it again i wouldnt have sold my original roadie. the drain plug is such a huge missmon the 24 that it makes it almost a chore to purge the water and keep the contents in at the same time. i just ordered the roadie 15 and EVEN if it doesnt hold ice as long as the 20 and 24 i think it would be the best small roadie yet cause it will have the best of both world. nice compact footprint, easy latches, malleable handle, and drain plug. if you need bigger than that...well you have the new roadie 32 with the wheels.
@jamescurti98042 күн бұрын
I don’t think the 15 is worth it over the roadie 20. I do agree with you on 32 with wheels. That may be my next cooler. I want it in tan. As my roadie 20 and tundra 55 are tan. I have the 55 with wheels. Wheels are a must. Otherwise they are so heavy.
@vettedsin2 күн бұрын
@@jamescurti9804 : i agree. i had the tundra 35, 45, and 65. they were all heavy when filled. i was stoked when they made the roadie 48 and 60 but noticed that they sit a bit high. then they released the roadie 32 and then i was like oh shit...thats the one!
@jamescurti98042 күн бұрын
My only concern with 32 is like you said the height. It don’t fit standing up in most car trunks. I’m in a suv now but will be going back into a coupe next year.
@vettedsin2 күн бұрын
@@jamescurti9804: ymmv but from what i saw from online and in person the roadie 32 should be able to fit in the back of a trunk. the 48 is a tall boy which i think what yeti realized when they sent it out to the public. thats why they went on sale quickly and the 32 was made.
