Got the 15 for a week long trip. Didn’t get the ice pack though. Froze a couple bottles of water & a package of hotdogs. Worked Perfectly. Even after being emptied and put away it was still cold inside.

Love the red. Adding this to my list to match my 1 gallon rambler. I’m in the market for a new lunch box and this may be it. Bringing a lunch bag into work is kinda a hassle with sharing the employee fridge etc. Plus going out to eat isn’t the best choice I can just leave this in my car with some ice and eat some nice home made food. Lunch break is about 4 hours into work and I’m sure everything will still be very cold by then.

Thanks for a good and fair review. I've 'heard' that this particular model is 'injected molded' vs 'roto-molded' . . . not sure if that's true, or if there are any pro's or cons between the 2 if so. In reality, being a 'day-cooler', a person should only expect so much 'performance' out of a cooler this size. I think if the size, feature set, and build quality are of value to someone, then this a great option. With a good pre-chill and perhaps using yeti ice combined with regular ice . . . I would think a solid 2 days of useable ice should be no problem for this cooler. I have the original Roadie 20 and am still very happy with it . . . however there are a few features on this model that have me considering it, like the smaller size, less weight, and the ability to accept the dry goods baskets. I like the newer hinges and handle / shoulder strap as well. I think this is going to be a very popular cooler for yeti. Thanks again for a greta review.

Yeah this is a nice update to the roadie line! I had a Roadie 24 (Sold to dad) like you said this new 15 really checks a lot of boxes and adds a few convenient features, I decided to pick it up I read somewhere that the roadie 15 is injection molded however based on handling the cooler, I don’t see any difference in quality. It seems like it’s going to be fine. As far as pros & cons of root molding vs injection molding I really don’t know, it might have more to do with size than anything. I’ll have to research that a bit more

I think you should mention it could be used as a high performance lunch box as well. I’ve been using my Roadie 15 as my everyday work lunch box for about three weeks now and I can tell you it’s one of the best choices I’ve ever made. Never have to compromise on what I can take to eat because I know whatever it is the food won’t spoil. I’m eating way more healthy as a result. And no pathetic zipper and so durable I know it’s going to hold up for a long while. The shoulder strap is so well thought out it’s just amazing. And less expensive than the cheapest Hopper. I could go on, but leave a reply if you have any questions about my experience.

This is genius!!!! Didn’t even think about a daily user for work. Im a local driver and I’m thinking now of getting this. I have the roadie 24 for mini roadtrips with the family. 💯 What type of work do you do?

@@Sammy0003 I’m a Construction Tech for DOT. Really long days in the field and only ½ hour lunch when in the office. No time or opportunity to go out most of the time.

Great review. I almost went for the Flip 12 but opted for the Roadie 15 instead. So glad I did, I like that it can also be used as a seat or a stool to stand on, very handy compared to the soft Flip series coolers.

Thank you! Yeah I like the roadie 15. I think it’s a nice size for day trips/ road trips. The Hopper is nice too but I really like that you can open the Roadie with 1 hand

Good choice! Zippers are pathetic IMO. My Roadie 15 has been my lunch box for about three weeks now and it’s some of the best money I’ve ever spent. Some might think it’s overkill for a lunch box but ask yourself if your health is worth it, because of the cold keeping capability you never have to compromise on what you can take to lunch and it will protect your food in a hot car too.

I would shop for one of those resealable food containers to keep things in to get you by until the tray becomes available again. So glad right now I ordered my tray when I ordered my Roadie 15 direct from Yeti. Worth waiting for.
