I currently have 70 bottles of ink. I won’t let myself have more than 25 samples at a time and I currently have 22 of those. I use them all, but I won’t be adding to my collection for a long time - no more storage space! Thanks for showing yours.

I plead the fifth on the number of ink bottles I have. It’s that bad. I just picked up Syun Gyo, and it’s quite a bit more purple; I don’t think it has any brown in it. I want Rikka too; I just got a nib ground by Kirk Speer and he wrote the note in Rikka, and it’s beautiful.

My inks are in a bottom drawer as well, so I write the ink names on small circular labels and stick them on the top of the caps.

I have too many bottles since I re-entered this hobby a year ago. I have purchased lots of samples to try as well. Gave quite a few away at the Atlas Sidewalk Sale in August. Having run out of space, I am trying to be much more selective. We'll see how that goes in 2025. Love hearing Parker's purrs and seeing her white paws. Please keep her as your co-host. 😸

Thanks(to you both) for keeping me company through whatever is causing this fever. I count 18 ink bottles, but a lot of them are the 30ml Diamine. My favourites are Robert Oster Deep Sea(one of the most evocative inks I've ever seen, especially in a Mirage Mythos Poseidon), Leonardo Blue(The financially aware person's Kon-peki) and Diamine Red Dragon(which I really want to replace with Leonardo Red). I used to have a bottle of Diplomat Moss Green that really hit the spot, but it misbehaved so badly that it had to go, and now I'm too cheap to spend on another bottle where 1/3 of the price goes towards shipping... Hope you're enjoying the peaceful lull between Christmas and New Year's!

I have 122 bottles of ink (I'm over a decade into the hobby and at least half of those bottles were purchased more than 5 years ago) and bought 21 this year. However, to be fair, this year was the first year I went to a pen show and I did buy a fair amount of ink whilst there.

Ink bottles, yes. I have an ink moratorium in place for this reason, space constraints. That said, I have the ones I enjoy using, with only a few on a mental wish list, mainly Asian themed shades. I am not in a drawer state, more like a few plastic storage containers, with the bottles in their boxes, and in Ziploc bags, to seal off any air for evaporation. Thankfully, I only a few ink samples.

I keep my inks in a metal brjefcase under my bed. Just used Diamines Onyx Black, Midnight, Writers Blood, Damson, Sherwood Green and Polar Glow to fill a bunch of my very favourite pens which have all been sitting in a drawer many miles away (because reasons). I don’t have a vast array of inks, but i have the ones i like the best. 😀

I followed your lead back when you had posted the ink sample suggestion. I do not keep any additional samples than what my 2 sample holders can contain. It’s HARD! I do penpals and we’re always swapping samples! I have a ziploc baggie full I need to go through and rehome now. I just purchased the iroshizuku syun-gyo and received it yesterday from Lemur Ink. That is one GORGEOUS ink. Highly recommend ❤🎉

Inks and pens are not only taking over an entire spare bedroom in my house, they are migrating to my bedroom, where the computer lives, and the dining room, where there are containers of pen repair things and bottles of my all-natural, never-to-be-world-famous ink, Colonial Black Walnut, and labels and loose leaf books and cards I plan to use for swatching inks....eventually, and really old pens, and stuff, and stuff, and the kitchen, where there are pens waiting to be cleaned, and various mechanical items like an ultrasonic bath, and a hot air blower, and teeny mechanical arms to hold objects, and syringes and little clay bars that are supposed to be helpful in polishing, but I can't really tell the diff. And pen flush (I make my own. If I can do it, you can do it), and assorted cements and solvents and ink sacs and other accoutrements. Oh, paper napkins so I can clean up inky messes and so cleaned thinks can dry. Whew!

That's a nice collection! Needs some Colorverse and Wearingul, though! For the former, Halo Ring and Great Red Spot are two of my favorites from the Season 8 ink line-up. Halo Ring is an ethereal, lovely blue that I really, really like. Great Red Spot is a brownish orange that shades beautifully. For Wearingul, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea is one of my favorite shading blues and is complemented by some lovely gold shimmer. It lives, appropriately enough, in my Nahvalur Nautilus. Captain Hook might be my favorite red ever, too. It's a well behaved red that leans ever so slightly towards a red/black. Just enough to take the edge off of the red and not make it feel like a badly failed test from high school!

I don’t have a FP drawer but I. have a 4 pen case with two Aurora Optima's, a Pilot Custom 823 and a Santini in it. My most expensive stuff. I have 20 bottles of ink including a recent free one from Goulet which was giving my minimalist sensibilities cause for alarm!

I currently have (a markedly downsized) collection of 50 different inks. But a greater number of bottles - because with some specific inks I have more than one bottle for each in stock. I’ve never bought ink sample vials. They only compound the clutter. But bottled ink purchases can certainly get both expensive and out of control if you don’t practise restraint and learn to be more selective in your specific color choices before committing to buy in a hurry. Sailor dominates my ink bottle inventory. Favorite color groups are blue-black, brown, burgundy, green, teal.

Well I think your doing good . I seen a video where one young lady has every bottle of diamine ink that has ever come out along with every Lamy ink and Farris wheel press. She also had 600 ink sample in a basket. So yeah your good.

I broke my vow not to have more than 10 bottles of ink. Now I have 13 and 10 bottles that will go with me for the next Pelikan Hub event which is cool that they won't just sit around, gathering dust. I have 3 black inks, why do I need so many, as an example.

No RO Caffe crema? Taccia cha? There are so many good inks new to me brands this year, taccia, troublemaker, vinta and I got a few JHebins that impressed me. I find myself more likely to buy a more expensive bottle than a larger one. Say 30 and 40ml give me what I want and over 50 feels like too much commitment. I’ve also become more adventurous to darken a color to get what I am looking for. Shin Ryoku with 1 drop takesumi to make it more forest/hunter green. I am seeking the best sepia I want a dark and light version. Kobe and Kyoto has 2 I need to test. You might make me get that MB but I have several golden browns that I enjoy already.

In general I usually enjoy watching your videos but I find recently it is extremely irritating to have your cat get in the way of the camera. It takes away from listening to what you are saying. It's okay to have your cat in the background which would be more appropriate.
