Me to my favorite unboxings are like small quilt shops opening the fresh fabrics they get in or just the people who buy notions and unbox them and show or tell how they want to use it

I just started watching this. You have just opened a box, with a box cutter. I just want to thank you for that because the number of people doing it with scissors freaks me out. It’s so dangerous. And they all should know better. In fact I think you’re the first person I’ve seen open a box with a box cutter. I’ll finish the video now

Hahaha... and it isn't just any box cutter - it has a ceramic safety blade. ❤️

Awesome that this video popped up today first with my coffee. It's good to see your face and it reminded me that I forgot to buy a calendar! I'll take care of that today.

I'm interested to know if the Applique Transfer System will work with the AccuQuilt Applique dies. Also the Hat ruler from MSQ matches the hat on their flat animal

how many followers did you need before they started sending you gifts?
@CarolinaMoore3 күн бұрын
That's a hard question to answer, for a number of reasons... 10 years ago, follower counts were not what they are now. I think the expectations are a bit higher now. Also, I was a blogger before social media was a big thing, so was sent things to share on the blog. There are also so many different social media platforms nowadays, and some brands look at a specific platform, some take it platform by platform, and some look at the numbers cumulatively.

What thread do you use for piecing? I use aorifil 100 % cotton. Love it but so much lint!
@CarolinaMoore3 күн бұрын
I often use a poly blend. There were rumors that polyester thread would chew up your quilt, but I haven't found that to be the case.

Have you done a video on how you got started as an ambassador or influencer in this field?
@CarolinaMoore3 күн бұрын
I have not... it can be either a really long, boring story, or a fairly short one: I started a blog as a SAHM of 2 kids, and just grew from there. ♥️
@beckypetersen26803 күн бұрын
Since I realized that many of the quilter vloggers were sent their quilt boxes for free, I quit watching them. We sell Wonderfil, though. I am wondering how the size 12 thread is. I wonder how it compares to 40, 50, etc? So many different companies with different numbering methods.
@CarolinaMoore3 күн бұрын
Much of what I get, I pay for, but I also have some great partnerships. However, I would never promote a product that I wouldn't buy myself. For example, I work with Baby Lock, but two of the Baby Locks I have I bought (technically my husband bought me one for Christmas). Regarding thread, The numbering is standard across the industry. Similar to wire. The smaller the number, the thicker the thread. 12wt is the largest you can use on a standard machine. 80wt is bobbin thread, and very fine. 50 wt is standard for Piecing. 40wt is often used for quilting. 100wt is what I use for English Paper Piecing, but is also great for Foundation Paper Piecing.
