Wow! This was amazing! 🥰 Thank you so much for sharing all these different types of glue! You never know what glue will be like until you buy it and use it. This saves a lot of money knowing what to expect when you purchase certain brands. I've always enjoyed Glossy Accents so I'm happy to know there's an alternative that you recommend! I've had trouble using E600 on painted surfaces. Plus I don't have the patience to wait for it to dry! 🤣Thank you very much for sharing your expertise! 💐

Thanks for your kind comment and glad you found this helpful. E6000 is a solvent based glue so it will strip paint from its surface. It is really meant for gluing things like metal and glass and as you say it takes a long time to dry. It is not meant for paper crafting 💕

Thanks Kate, this has been mentioned to me many times before, but unfortunately shipping as well as the cost of the bottles is extortionate and 3 x the cost of the glue which I personally cannot justify. There doesn’t seem to be a U.K. alternative either 😕

A good tip that I should have mentioned for E6000 is to spread the thread with Vaseline which will stop the top sticking. This is a useful tip for other glues too. I have tried Aeleen’s, but I don’t like the tip as I find it constantly clogs and is far too wide an opening. Of course all of these glues can be decanted into fine tip bottles 💕 X

I now use Art Glitter glue too, Nina after you recommended it in a previous video. I use it for all sorts of situations but now I also use it to stick down my eggshells when making things like that. I always glaze over the eggshells with Judikins Diamond Glaze but I gently get it out of the bottle with a stiff brush and 'tease' it over the eggshells. It gives a wonderful finish with very few annoying bubbles. Thank you for a very interesting video. Sometimes choice can be bewildering so it's good to have your opinion based on your personal experience.

I wholeheartedly agree with you... Fabri-tac is great but I have terrible trouble getting it out at times... Especially now I've lost strength in my hands... I love Art Glitter glue I use it for most things it's my favourite glue I have to say!! My gluestick of choice is UHU I find Pritt doesn't seem to have the same strength or sticking power but I think some of it maybe user error 🤭🤭 probably not putting enough on... I don't rate the Blue Magic UHU much though! I don't have much idea about dimensional glues I only have a tiny bottle of Glossy Accents and don't use it that much... Ive used it to glue down buttons and things like that. And E6000 sounds much better with the no smell as I hated it and it put me off using it... Its probably solid now as I used to use it on cabs on jewellery. It's a great video Nina for those that are a bit overwhelmed about glues and whats best to use especially if new to our craft. 👍🏻👍🏻🌼🌼😁💖

Thanks Elaine. You might find your Fabritac easier if you thin it down a bit with acetone or nail polish remover. I have never tried UHU as it’s expensive. I have never had a problem with Pritt not sticking properly, but I do thoroughly cover my pages with it 💕 x

@@NinaRibenaMixedMedia yes my fabri-tac does need thinning down but I still have problems squeezing the bottle... 😁😁 I have used Pritt more over the years but I think I like the UHU better myself... But yes it it quite expensive... Everything has gone up and the tip about the Art Glitter glue not being shipped during winter was very helpful... Makes a lot of sense as I do have more problems with it during the winter... It thickens up and sets and I do have a bit of cleaning out of the nozzle to get it going again 🙄😏🌼

Hi Nina, thank you for such an informative video, after years of card making, I'm still not on top of glue! I have been using the Cosmic Shimmer dries clear, works quite well and you have a bit of wiggle room. I'm going to try the Lavinia Stamps Bipity Bopity glue, as so eone said it compares with Cosmic Shimmer. I do put it in a fine nozzle bottle, as I'm usually doing very delicate things. I like the Colall because it makes things hard, although it dud buckle a card the other day. Great for making things sturdy though. I have thought about getting the Art Glitter glue, but it seems so expensive. I tried the E6000 once, then the lid was stuck, so that worked out expensive. I have tried the adhesive sheets, but didn't get on with them either! I used them for an intricate die cut panel on to acetate, but no wiggle room. It's definitely a learning curve! But at least it's fun! ❤

I hate glue sticks in general due to them getting everywhere and the fact they are not permanent. Things will fall apart later on. They're great for temporary use, though. My favorite glue of all time is the Scotch Quick Dry glue (the kind you can use for crafts). I'm a big fan of Scotch adhesives in general, but have never used the glue stick. When the Scotch Quick Dry iterations are not available, I like to use any acid-free PVA.

In South Africa it has come to light that stick glue such as Pritt (and there are a large bunch of brands) make paper unrecyclable. For some reason it can not be broken down / dissolved in the recycling process. I would like to know if it is the same in other countries.

Hi Ronel. I have just googled this and this is what I found. ‘The new generation of Pritt sticks is even more sustainable and environmentally friendly than before; the glue is made from 97% natural ingredients (including water and potato starch) and the stick container consists of up to 65% post-industrial recycled plastics (depending on stick size). The sticks are fully recyclable’.
