I've been using AGG for about a year now, I only recently heard about Bearly. I appreciate the review because like most crafters, we tend to want what everyone is using! Since neither out performed the other, I have no viable reason to switch. One thing for I'd caution to those getting the AGG is that Amazon will ship it during cold months, but that doesn't mean it will be guaranteed, so be careful where you purchase from.

Great comparison! I’ve been using AGG for several years now. I didn’t know I was supposed to twist the cap on though. I tried BAG once but it just seemed like it was AGG watered down which is why it takes a little longer to dry. If I need more moving time I simply put it on a little thicker and that really helps. Of course, you would not want to apply it too close to the edges. As far as clogging goes, if I haven’t used it for a few days I just take it to my sink, run water through the tip using my paper piercing tool to clean it out and it’s clean in seconds. I live in a cold climate so always stock up in warm weather months. I’ve never had any issues where it went bad. I also buy it when I can find the best deals. 😊

Thanks for your review. It was very thorough. I have used both glues and currently have both in my stash. In my experience, the AGG dries just a bit faster than the BAG, which I prefer. Both clog if you leave them uncapped for long. I love that the BAG can be shipped year round but all in all I prefer my AGG and use the BAG as backup.

I loved the way it worked but I found I could not squeeze the bottle with the fine tip on it, not enough strength in my hands. I am a long time used of both glues. I prefer the Bearly Art Glue for two reasons. The fine tip nozzle for AG glue would frequently gum up during long craft sessions causing me to stop and dig out the blob. Very annoying. The AG glue is a bit more gummy in my opinion. The Bearly Art Glue bottle is less difficult to apply glue. I do not need to squeeze the bottle much to get a flow of glue. The ability to order year round is a plus also. The nozzle for each fine tip differ slightly; the AG tip is ever so slightly bigger as is am able to use a "Topper Stopper" but cannot use it with my BA tip. Both are fabulous glue but for now I recommend Bearly Art besides the word Glitter is just confusing for a glue without glitter.

rochelle nowik Thank you for the valuable input. I am curious if the cleaning pin that comes with the Bearly Art glue can be used for storage... but I didn't want to try since I was afraid it might ruin my whole bottle of glue if it didn't work.

@@MultiplicityCrafts Simon Says Stamp has a special stopper ("bearly glue rubber stopper" they call it) you can put on top of the fine tip, so you don't have to permanently use the needle or the stop that the Bearly Glue also provides (but don't like to constantly change tips)

Art glitter glue was designed to dry quickly, and clear , to do the on trend technique at the time, which was using microfine glitter on mandala style stamped images and creating a stained glass effect with the glitter on acetate, hence the name. It was great as other glues took too long to dry and glitter would smudge/blow off card ,or would be too thick and you couldn't get the fine definition needed or you could see the glue through the glitter. It was not made for gluing one thing to another although it can do that. I may buy some Bearly for using in the precision press for adding dies to shadow die, and mat and layering, thanks to these comments about drying time. I will buy the smaller bottles of AG for original purpose.

So far as the cost goes, the AGG looks to be more expensive because of their shipping charges, BAG gives you free shipping... I wanted a 2 oz bottle to start with because I'm used to working with Tombo (mono multi) which is a pretty small bottle. I bought the 2 oz BAG with the included tip kit, plus I bought the rubber stopper for the ultra fine tip (thought I'd try it out, it was .99 cents) and my total was $12.48. The 2 oz AGG plus the tip kit comes to 8.70 before shipping is added, but with their 4.66 shipping charge the total is $13.36... so even though it may not seem like it at first, the BAG is slightly less expensive.

That's very insightful... thanks for sharing this info. Let me know what you think of the BAG. I love mine! The only thing I noticed was if it got too warm (I had it sitting near a warm metal lamp base) it was a little thinner than usual. I would assume the same applies if it gets too warm in shipping. But normally, its an awesome product.

Now that it's 4 years later, you should do another review. The Bearly Art glue went through massive marketing strategies last year and everyone jumped on their bandwagon. Glue does not clog if you empty the tip before recapping or adding stainless steel pin. Hold bottle upright and squeeze at the shoulders, tap against work surface a few times so air in bottle moves and glue slides back down into bottle. If it does clog , ammonia and hot water will melt the clogged glue.

I had been using Tombow glue and glue sticks. However, I saw Cathy Zielske use Bearly Art glue in a couple of her videos and I loved the precision metal applicator so i ordered a small 2 oz bottle to try it out. After that is when I started hearing about Art Glitter Glue. Go figure. However, since Bearly Art glue comes with the tips so you don't have to order them separately, and it also "seems" to be less toxic (because it does not have the same California warning on it that the Art Glitter glue does), I'll stick with Bearly Art glue (pun intended lol).

Great video!!! The only comparison not demonstrated, is the actual time you might have available to make adjustments to the position of the paper after adhesion. I find Art Glitter gives almost no time and Bearly Arts gives me that tiny little bit of extra time, I sometimes need. I use both glues regularly, since for many applications, I simply want fast adhesion and in other cases, I may want to make a fine adjustment before it dries completely.

@@amkarei There are many Beacon adhesives, all with a different purpose. I have been using Beacon 3 in 1 for about 10 years and also use Beacon Fabri Tac. Both are great for paper crafting, but Fabri Tac can be used for many other things such a wood, leather, fabric, etc. It does not wrinkle or warp anything I've used it on. I don't know how thin of paper you are referring too though. About it drying matte......I guess it might be matte. If I have any excess on something I just rub it off, so I really don't pay attention to whether it's matte or not. It rubs off easy with your fingers or with a glue eraser. I love it and have tried many other glues just to through them away. I keep plenty of Beacon 3 in 1 and Fabri Tac on hand so I'm never without it. It holds beautifully......quick tack but time for a little wigggle room....and have never had anything come apart. I use it in almost every video I make if you happen to watch my channel. Thank you so much for your review which has everything covered, brilliantly. I cannot buy the art Glitter as they do not ship to the Netherlands, just received the Bearly Craft glue and works brilliant !!! Very happy with it. But you mentioned the shine.. so hope that is not to bad, cause the Ranger Multi medium Mat does definitely NOT have a shine.... :-( but is a bit thicker (that is not easy) and not easy to use (have to use a seringe to fill my precision bottles, as I bought the refill).

Do either of these glues give you wiggle time to adjust card layers. Thanks!
@MultiplicityCrafts3 жыл бұрын
The Bearly Art Glue gives more wiggle time but is still fast drying.
@jeannewagner81332 жыл бұрын
I have only used Bearly Art glue and it does dry quickly. The thicker you apply it, the more wiggle room there is. I have applied it quite thinly although evenly, all over a surface and maybe had a couple of seconds before it was too stuck to move, even with moistened fingers. I applied it more thickly and it gave me plenty of time to adjust and get just right into place.
@Cre8tiveConnexionsbyLilliaАй бұрын
I know this question is old , but for benefit of new watchers, art glitter was specifically designed for drying quickly. It helped in the trend of the time, which was rubber mandala design stamps , which we stamped and embossed several times, cutting out in decoupaged style layers and then we decorated/ coloured with microfine glitter. AG stopped wastage of the expensive glitter moving / blowing off, with glue that took too long to dry.

This was very helpful for me. One question I have though,are the caps and tips on the 2 products interchangeable? In other words,will the cap from the Bearly fit the art glitter bottles?
@MultiplicityCrafts Жыл бұрын
Hmm, I don't know for certain. If it were the same ounces... possibly. However, it would be a risk to try since it might not get a tight seal.

So the fine tip pen head that was sent with my glue, the little ball came off and I started using a non-stainless steel pen. Don’t do that!?! I’ve been soaking in vinegar due to the rust build up…I’m very particular and normally clean up tips but this is impossible to get clean. I love the glue! Any tricks?

Thank you for this video. This is a great comparison because I’ve been wondering which is better. I currently use the Art Glitter Glue. Do you have a preference on the glues? Just curious.
@MultiplicityCrafts3 жыл бұрын
You're very welcome. I am sort of 50/50 on the glues. I find both glues to be very strong hold. I prefer the fine metal tip of the AGG. The BAG can be shipped in cold weather, but it got a little watery in the heat. However, I like that the BAG gives me more time to work with than the AGG (the AGG is very fast drying) I am very happy with both. 😊

@@MultiplicityCrafts thank you! It’s great that both are such strong glues, feels like you can always have a backup glue with either one. Yes I agree I love the fine tip on the AGG as well. Thanks for your great video and feedback, much appreciated.

Thanks for the info! I just got some Bearly Art Glue but haven't even opened it yet. I haven't tried Art Glitter Glue. I do wonder about cleaning the fine tip on the Bearly Art Glue, since it isn't meant to use the pin for storage.... any suggestions?
@MultiplicityCrafts4 жыл бұрын
If you get the tip kit, it comes with a storage tip and cleaning pin. It is possible that it could be stored with the pin but I haven't tried it so didn't want to advise it. Also, the flat lid that comes with the glue is great for storage. But yes, the pin works great if you get a clog in the fine metal tip.
@rochellenowik98754 жыл бұрын
I leave the pin in my Bearly Art Glue when not in use. If you lose the pin do not use just any straight pin as it will rust; purchase rust-proof straight pins at your fabric shop.

I watched your comparison of the two glues. However when you were doing the price comparison I think you may have not mentioned that the art glitter glue is 2 oz whereas the bearly glue is 4oz . so even though the bearly glue is $1 more it gives you twice as much glue and the tips come for free. Without a doubt the bearly glue is the better value.

great review. I did purchase the Art glitter glue but one thing i did not like about it is that once you put it together with another piece of paper there is no play in it. With intricate pieces you have to glue together and need at least a few seconds where you can place it and move it ever so slightly. Hope this makes sense what i am saying lol. Like with tacky glue there is some give when trying to glue down and you can move it to make sure the pieces are going to fit together properly. I might buy some of the Bear glue and try it. I love the idea of the metal tips for thin lines becase with other glues i get it all over the place where it should not go. It could be my bad gluing and not the glue I missed the kindergartner gluing class as well as the cutting class and I am 55 LOL Going to check your website out and see what else you show us.. Great video thanks

My fine tip is always clogged on my art glitter clue and I spend alot of time unclogging it. Is the fine tip on the bearly art any easier to unclog?
@MultiplicityCrafts2 жыл бұрын
In a way, I think it's a bit easier to unclog only because the pin it comes with is longer. You likely already do this, but wanted to mention to make sure pin head sits directly flush with metal tip for storage and there isn't a thin layer of glue near the pin head preventing this seal (or on the nozzle of the fine metal tip). Another option Bearly Art Glue has is a rubber stopper option. Both glues definitely have the ability to clog, but I think the longer pin is key. Also, I always store my glue upright. I hope this helps you Debbie.
