I had the unforunate situation of being the friend whose other friend hit on their crush at a group event. After a series of events of this happening, I confronted my friend and told her that I felt betrayed and uncomfortable with her because I had already discussed with her early on that I liked this guy. I think my favorite thing ever (although based on TV shows and movies, so I don't know if it actually happens in real life) is when guys get teased by their mates when they like a girl (not in the way of the 'babysitter' comment made, but about his feelings/vulnerability towards her). Especially if it's completely obvious by the way he looks at her or just reacts to any mention of her, but won't admit to actually feeling something and keeps delaying making any kind of move even if he really wants to. (Also the person who went behind my back I hate to this day because you don’t freaking do that. You make up a nickname that’s completely irrelevant (ex. pebble, meatman, carrot, etc.) and you try to get close to the guy that your friend likes. You figure out who he likes and you save your friend the awkwardness and the time. Example time. My best friend, let’s call her Emily, likes this guy who I’m going to call Will. I found out about her crush and if we’re ever talking about him, his name becomes “Vigilante Man” (there’s a long backstory..) Anyways, I wasn’t really ever friends with him until I found out about how Emily likes him. Then it was full on get-close-to-this-guy-so-we-can-figure-this-mess-out. I got close enough to him that he actually told me who he liked after about a month and a half. A girl I’m naming Hannah (Emily knows it isn’t her) We then got one of Emily’s guy friends who I’ll call Aaron (where we double checked that there was no romantic anything) to go and try to get the girl that Will liked to fall for him. SO over the span of two months Emily’s close friends figured out that she liked Will, Will liked Hannah, and sent Aaron out in the mission to get Hannah to fall for him. In the meantime we try to get Emily and Will to spend time together by ditching them for a while so they’re alone. So there you go, my friends uniting to help bring two people together 😂

As a guy, I hold it in for a while, then tell everyone I know that knows her meanwhile also trusting that it doesn't spread to her and, in this case, that she forgot I did a couple years ago. In my case though, the people that would know her mostly likely are the band, choir, otakus and artists. I'm only one of them but I love to sing, though I'm bad at it, and I love to play drums, though I don't know a thing about how jazz drums. I'm more of a metal drummer you know.
