@@nashaeshantell girl “adult hairs”… they absolutely have their place!!! I was in braids for 6mos and had a frontal no dang issues!!! I got some Senegalese twists with the twisted root and it was over… Soon as i don’t say hey leave out my edges I’m back at square one!!! Snatched bald!!! I shaved my head bald last year and was making good progress… I’m so devastated… I almost jus said fuqq this and shaved it again!!! I took the perimeter out early on but it was still too late!!! Like why tf would you make these little sections into a twist on their own?! So I’ve been babying my hair for the last month or so… nothing but wash and goes!!! Ugh! Lesson learned… I surely knew better.🤦🏾♀️

I appreciate this. My Asian American dermatologist blamed my hair loss on traction bcuz I had cornrows in during our appointment--even though I hadn't done cornrows or box braids in nearly 3 years 🙄 He basically forbade me from doing any protective styles or using heat: his prescription was loose hair or get locs. Right, cuz doing daily wash n go's would keep my hair from tangling and breaking? I never went back to him. (I want to do locs but I can't afford it yet).

Can you suggest a hairstylist that works with natural hair? I have 1/4 inch of hair loss on the hairline. Thank you

Box braids is not good no wonder she doesnt have no edges. And her hair is then. The knot from the scalp is how you lose your hair once it starts getting matted

did you listen? she recommended that for people who absolutely don’t want to get rid of braids.

So rude; her hair is fine. She's the doctor, not the patient.

Even if she were bald idc. Y’all would listen to bad advice from someone just because they have long hair, meanwhile this is literally her area of expertise.
