As to the flipping of the card, i have to disagree. As a matter of fact, his handling of the card seemed that he was quite aware. I've done that many times, when i didn't know which direction or side the ATM wanted the mag strip. He flipped and wiped it just trying to get it to read. Only confusion was why he couldn't get cash, or so it appears to me anyway.

His card was a swipe only which is why he kept turning it. The reason it may not have been working is because it was locked by fraud alert due to suspicious activity. That may explain why he was so confused by it not working.

Several questions that could be answered with a bit of digging. 1. What was his financial state? Did he have little money in his bank account, Was he recently in a lot of debt, was he experiencing credit problems, etc. 2. This question was asked and not answered…. “Was his financial activity leading up to his disappearance “normal”?” Were bank transactions typical or had he increasingly been withdrawing cash? 3. Was there a receipt in the Walmart bags? If so it should be checked for date and time. If not, it’s likely he was throwing some things in old Walmart bags to pack to take with him. 4. Has anyone interviewed the individuals captured on the casino tape at the poker table? 5. Have the local Walmart cameras been looked at to see if he’s detected at the store the day of or the day before he disappeared? One thing is for sure… he was disrupted and left his house but when. Because if he left to go to the casino then that is a hurried last ditch effort to get money. Maybe what everyone is viewing as a confused state at the atm is a stress induced panic to get money. Maybe the guys at the casino table knew that.

No loan shark kills you over a debt when you have assets. Even if he was dead broke they would lean on him to get family to pony up the bill. I doubt foul play other than if it was a serial killer type.

Agree. And 98% of the victims in that serial killer scenario are women. Nothing stolen so no robbery motive. When that Wal Mart purchase was made is important. I'd like to know if he made it home or not. If not, then we could be looking at an old man making a wrong turn on the way home. I think he drove off a different road.

actually you had to be able to calculate how much gasoline can be in his vehicle and then calculate how far you can drive with a full tank and use that as a search area from his home

Given the level of his obvious frustration that night with his ATM card, a bad streak at gambling, along with dwindling hope, failing health, and perhaps alcohol intake, it seems a likely possibility that, at age 75, sitting in his beloved car, he said "scr*w it, I'm done with life". And given his penchant for long road trips (i.e. to Arizona), he may have taken off for a long ride. Adding fatigue to the mix, he may have just driven off into a body of water far from home, depending on how far he made it with fuel. He could be in water anywhere, not necessarily close to home. I applaud all of you amazing searchers for your tireless efforts in this and all of your cases. You are amazing! I pray for the families of everyone who is missing where there is no closure. May the Lord bless all of you and bring you peace, strength and healing. 🙏✝️💜

Is there any possibility that you could look into CCTV footage from cities between where he lived and where his son lived at the time he went missing? There be a chance that he headed to his son’s home, but something happened that caused him to go off road. It may not be very high of a chance, but it’s still a possibility nonetheless.

I live in North Dakota not far from Jamestown. It's like a 4 hour drive to 4 Bears and easily over 100 bodies of water. Unless he was murdered It's very likely the car is in water. Consider that the majority of the territory is ranch and farmland his car would of been found long ago. The other thing North Dakota normally has its first snow in October. I think I. His case using Lidar would probably help, considering ND looks the same as it did back when Custer rode through with the U.S. Calvary

I think Doug, you made some very good observations during the poker game The two guys who were talking about him watched him etc Did anyone look to see when they left? Could they knowing he was confused and frustrated ( probably know him from prior games as well) think easy target, or just to be mean. Maybe they or anyone for that matter followed him home. Someone could have been in the house and surprised him as he opened the door he puts down bags to raise his hands they have him get back into the car (probably can't be seen if a garage) make him drive somewhere while one follows they could have killed him with his own gun for a debt he owes then sank him and the car in a body of water? Regardless I do believe there's faul play based on the Walmart bags. Did the police look at Walmart video? Try to determine when he went also was he followed or watched while there? I don't think the Walmart bags are from earlier that Saturday. The scenario that makes the most sense is he stopped at Walmart aft the casino either was followed home or someone was already there waiting. There's a lot of detective work that needs and or should have been done using that info would certainly make your job easier! Best of luck I think you guys can solve this!! ❤️ Be safe!

As a Type II diabetic, he could have had a high or low blood sugar event. My husband totaled three pickups before we figured out what was going on with him. That would also explain his confusion at the ATM.

I think his family really never tried very hard to look for him in my opinion. When he asked about his phone records they looked confused as if they never even tried looking at that how did the lady say "his phone didnt have charge" how does she even know that? @jpp1749 that's easy to say having never heard of the case until you watched this. I grew up near Riverdale, this was big news when he went missing. The family & law enforcement were focusing the search between Riverdale & Fargo initially, he was missing for a couple weeks before anyone had found out he had been to the casino, which is 2 hours in the opposite direction of where he was supposed to travel. My grandparents are the same age as Ron, they have had a cell phone off & on for about 20 years, they often leave home without it & rarely have it turned on when they are home. So no, it's not suspicious that a senior citizen 12 years ago might not have his phone turned on.

Ronald Lee Johnson was in the US Army in 1967 and had a pass to go home and got my mother pregnant with me. She placed his name on my old Birth certificate Ronald Lee Johnson and my name is Christopher Lee Johnson. He was a POW in the Vietnam War- Cherokee Indian His mother was full Cherokee Indian and she had the same problem I have now with the Osteomyelitis in our bone marrow. My Bone Density is very poor and I have to take Vitamin D 3 every day to slow down the process of the bone becoming brittle.I have searched everywhere to where I even went to his last known address in Livingston, KY back in 2021. Then I found someone in my town who knew him and his second wife Sharon Jones from Hamilton, OH. I used to have their Marriage Bond when they got married in London, KY.

i think he was packing up the car to get it ready then as he was coming out of the house with groceries someone came in to rob him he might have ran in the house to get the gun but was to slow? then he was forced to either drive or taken in the car somewhere far away. this was not self harm maybe a accident.

Given it's 2011 in the Bakken Oil Fields. Meth, prostitution, crime was at an all time high. I am curious about the female that approached the table. She look's like a methed out lot lizard. She also leans in and says something to him that upsets him (hence throwing his cards in violently) and says something to her to cause her to step away from him. IMHO you'll never find the car or him. As much as I hate to say this, Shallow grave and the car has been parted out and the frame melted down. Unfortunately local police departments don't give their officers very good training and counties and states have below standard training to send them to. Therefore they have not the training nor the urge to get more aggressive n their jobs. Plus, they have no Crime scene Investigaters as did the city I was part of. I was sent to city academy, county academy state academy and FBI classes to be a Crime investigater. I was taught every tool to investigate any crime. That is lacking in some states, counties towns and cities today from some of these films on UTube today. It is sad.
