Tyson did have a chance on his best day. It just wasn't his best day. He was clearly having some knee or hip problems, super heavy on the feet. We've seen enough footage to know that again on his best day he's still got it. The problem is that a condition like that isn't just hard to maintain it's going to be more hit or miss at his age. Honestly he probably overtrained and his joints couldn't keep up with the steroids. If he had longer and took intelligent rest periods between several shorter camps he probably would have been in that shape on the day. I think he just tried training like a younger man and it caught up to him

I'd like to hear the coaches' perspective on how Tyson's corner did. Too often the coaches are not taking into account their fighter's physical and mental ability *in the moment* they're giving advice. Telling Tyson to "jab more" as they see his legs are completely gone is ridiculous. They should have told Tyson, "he's refusing to come in, and you can't chase him down, so do the rope-a-dope on him instead, and catch him as he's swinging." Or something similar.
