Dude, take as much time as you need. Those are seriously heavy life-changing ordeals that you had to deal with. The most I've ever had to deal with was kidney stones. I can't even imagine dealing with all that you had to go through. It's nice knowing that you're okay though.

This is a really helpful and extremely vulnerable and brave video to make. Thank you!! Funny thing: kidneys and eyes have an inexorable link. I went through a similar experience when my vision started declining and after two years of fighting four different doctors and optometrists, I went to a specialist who, two seconds after describing my symptoms and experience, said "Oh yeah, I see two to five people with your specific problem a week". BTW, over-the-counter antacid medication can destroy your bones, kidneys, eyes, and cause joint and muscle pain without any blood or urine tests showing the issue.

Vision problems can be super depressing even if they're not very serious. There's just something about not seeing the world "properly" that is inherently distressing. I obviously have nothing as bad as you, I have a fairly light prescription for shortsightedness and an astigmatism in one eye and my prescription hasn't changed at all in the last eight years which I'm happy about. Thing is, I first realized my vision wasn't right during a lengthy period of unemployment in my early 20s, so I couldn't afford to do anything about it for like six months and of course once you realize your vision is bad it's all you can think about and you just want to fix it. Even KNOWING that once I had money again I could just go get glasses and everything would be fine it made me super fucking depressed. I can't imagine the uncertainty of "is this even a thing that can be fixed." Glad you're on the mend.

Just wanted to say that I find you really inspiring. Started getting eye problems almost four years ago from one day to the next and even thought it was keratoconus and got it tested (sadly costs around 150€ in Germany just to do that). Since then I've had several tests done and my dactors believe it is caused by my TMJ which is caused by sleep apnea that I didn't know I even had until a few months ago. As a content creator myself trying to go full time it's good so see someone going through something similar trying to be positive and actively do something. Because as you probably know, being uncertain about your health and if or by how much it's ever going to get better/worse is pure depression fuel. Really hope your vision will improve as much as it possible can and that new procedures can someday take you the rest of way.

Jesus H Christ. Not gonna lie dude. I was worried because you were pretty quiet. Just thought that you were dealing with your eyes like you had mentioned last time and thought "Oh that must have slowed him down".... You had to get your eyes, your jaw AND your freaking kidneys?! And you ultimately shook the medical field go their core? Christ man I am so so sorry that you went through that and I'm elated that you're on the mend and you're starting to go to the gym and feeling better. I mean, I related to you from this because my years been vaguely similar to yours. My own visions went to absolute shit (genetic issues). I'm now negative double digits and can't actually see all that well. And I started getting retinal migraines which literally blinded me (Temporary blindness when you're crossing a road is fucking terrifying). And I also had surgery in terms of Wisdom tooth removal and I fainted after the surgery. So.... I absolutely know where you're coming from, am elated that you're on the mend and I seriously hope you're continuing to get better mate. And admit it, that Marvel video is just a cover for a Richard Elson appreciation video where you tell people to read Sonic the Comic via Morbius the Living Vampire.

Are you saying that 3:54 is not normal nighttime driving? As someone who had enough eye operations that the doctor said there was no tissue left to work with before starting the first grade and then two more after that without getting rid of the issue I sympathize. While I don't have keratoconus (I've got strabismus) any light on eye conditions is good. Best wishes going forward.
