I have lived on Ireland since 2000 but never went so,I had no idea about Mosney. Thanks for clearing that up for me.

Mosney holiday centre was such a fantastic place to go Went there 4 times over the years as a teenager and with my children. Just WISH it would come back as it was. 😢Oh for a time machine! Lovely video. Well done 👍 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

I dreamt of Mosney last night; I was imagining the big plans for the park's reopening when I was walking across it's run down state of it, and then I saw all these holiday homes and lodges there, possibly as part of Mosney's reopening and refurbishment and the park....

I was lucky enough to have a mobile home there for 4 summers, spent lots of time there up until I was 14/15 and loved it went back when I was 19 (1999) and it was in bits. I managed to get into it about 10 years ago and walk around and apart from the fun fair rides gone and out door pool filled in. It has stood still in time. The place was spotless and brought back many wonderful childhood memories back for for me but it would need massive investment to have a chance but the cost to go to it and as its so close to dublin with the mother ways now, id rather spend my money to Go away then 10mins up the m1

What a lovely piece of work in this report. There is nothing I would like to see more than the Mosney camp returned to it's former glory. It would take a lot of investment but it is possible. The buildings are still there and it could be completely modernised. Lets hope it happens!

Very nice documentary, well researched, informative and attractive, mate! I think you're cutting a tiny bit too fast, though - you have very good content and it's very nicely presented, so I think you could have had a little more confidence in it and left things on the screen for us to enjoy longer.

Hi I just seen my grandmother in your video . She’s the one dancing with the lad in the white shirt. Do you have a longer video of that section . Would love to hear if you have as we have no videos of her . Thank you

Is the derelict Butlins site still standing? There’s a Utube video from 2016 of the very sad looking camp still standing. But has anything happened to it since then please?

Good video, but no mention of its post-closure status as a detention centre/asylum seeker camp? There's another story there.

England still has it's Butlins - fun never goes out of fashion ! Ireland has become a bloody boring pc infected isle. Even Bray has bugger all now. Amusments gone, pier gone, chairlift gone.... Slimy seasnails & a pint of Guinness..... no thanks.

That because the Brits don’t like spending money when they are abroad, they’d rather go to Bognor Regis and eat cheese and pickle sandwiches in the rain.

Mosney was a real loss to Ireland, I took my 2 Sons to Emerald park last month and it's absolute shite by comparison. Very disappointing really. And the Nissan EV cars are absolute shite and expensive, it's a joke of a place compared to what Mosney was. Clara Lara is a lot more fun to be honest.

I moved from London to Ireland in 2003 so never got to visit it. My parents were never ones for holiday camps even in the UK. I guess the main reason for its downfall was the introduction of Ryanair and other budget airlines and cheap package holidays abroad. Even now it's cheaper to fly to France or Spain than holiday in Ireland
