in perfect scenario we would get two extremely different games: with and without chloe, but it is unrealistic, sadly. honestly, even constant texting from chloe would be enough for me, as long as max and chloe don't break up. seriously, how tf do you break up with someone after yall destroyed the whole town to be together, just doesn't make any sense

The games creator said they would respect the final decision you made to save either Arcadia bay or Chloe, so if you saved her she’s likely somewhere else doing whatever. I doubt they’d be stupid and make them break up or drift apart after everything

Honestly I feel like knowing a lot of people died for you to live would be a huge trauma and it would be complicated to have a healthy relationship in this condition. Staying with someone because she sacrified a city for you is pretty messed up and can lead to extremely unhealthy relationship. Survivor Syndrome is a tough thing to deal with

@@nomi4272 that is true too... but, during LIS 2, you could find a photo of max and chloe travelling, so i guess they were okay being together. and, while it is very traumatic, it also definitely formed a bond for life, shared trauma brings people closer to each other, not necessarily in toxic way, which i believe is the case for max and chloe. i can understand your point of view though

"Before the Storm" was great because it had Max and Chloe (albeit younger versions of them). It would be a shame if this new game was just a money grab. I'm not really sure why some of the games are DontNod and others are DeckNine (and to what extent they work together).

Life is strange was Dontnod's creation but they sold the rights to the franchise to Square Enix. As a result Square dictates when and who gets to make a game in the franchise now. That's why Dontnod is making "Lost Records" because they get to have full creative control with this new franchise.

@@LeoFrost12 That helps clarify things. Thanks for that. It kinda feels like there is a "rift" between the two companies. It's interesting how "LIS 2" was made by DontNod but had nothing to do with Max or Chloe.

​@@goofydufusyeah they have different visions for the series. cant remember the interview but i think Dontnod has said before that chloe and max's story is done; its why LiS 2 focuses on entirely new characters in contrast Decknine (and squenix by extension i guess?) has been more interested in coming back to the arcadia bay cast

Technically moving on from an ending where Max chooses Chloe over the town and everyone else makes the most sense in terms of a sequel, since it involves a Max that would never have really learned that messing around with powers and time lines only leads to things getting worse, since it seems like she is about to do the exact same f'ing thing again.

Everyone needs to chill out and look at how continuity is done in previous LIS games. It's a butterfly effect game, so Chloe, if she's alive, will either be a cameo character, a background character, or text/call character IF you saved her. Assume the comics are real and canon to the saving Chloe ending. Chloe should have green hair, or maybe the picture she has is referring to alternate timeline Chloe. But Chloe's hair was greenish in LIS 2

@hsd287 That's not really an issue provided. It is done correctly, and you don't even need to hear Chloe like texts are cool, too. But if Chloe is the DLC character, well, this just got a whole lot more interesting.

It’s pretty obvious that the Chloe is alive on one universe and dead in the other. That’s how both endings remain canon . How come so many fans haven’t figured this out?

They want to please everyone but you can't do that. Honestly they should have chose a cannon ending and just rolled with it. I would have been happier with that.
