This is spot on. I will be 47 next week and will be moving to Nicaragua no later than the beginning of the year. I'm doing this for my physical and mental health. Not to mention that I refuse to work myself to death. There's more to life than just working and paying bills. That's not living. I finally found a remote job, so yes i will still be working in Nicaragua, but I will have a completely different quality of life and lifestyle.

Its crazy how many stories there are like yours! I love the KZbin channel Dr Berg for that sort of information; he is an absolute treasure trove. Its very easy to find healthy food in Nicaragua; incredibly easy. There is nowhere near as much fast food in Nicaragua, so you can basically always find fresh produce. Theres a traditional drink called pinolillo that I basically sustain myself on; its the staple food of my diet. Ill be happy to share anything relevent to this in our call just ask :)

What scares me most is that the United States appears in the Brazilian media all the time as an example to be followed, with our previous president using the US flag instead of ours on some occasions. But the idea of not being able to produce your own food is simply unacceptable in any part of Brazil. Many people sow and harvest in their homes, even though they are not poor, it's just cultural.

I just would like to know how you can stay living in Nicaragua after the 3 months visitor visa they usually give
@JackPitmanNica Жыл бұрын
It depends, there are lots of options. You can go to costa rica for a few days; which will reset your visa for another 90 days. You can overstay; which will accrue a $3 fee for everyday that you overstay; which needs to be paid when you wish to leave the country. You can get residency, which will need a yearly renewal. There are a few ways to get residency; including... marriage... investment... property purchases (you can get residency with the purchase of house, if the purchase is made from a Nicaraguan)

You make some valid points. I'm a citizen of the American Empire. And it is an Empire. Living in an empire has both advantages and drawbacks. And this is my point: whatever country you live in is "propagandized". The trick to living a good life begins when one recognizes and separates the propaganda from the truth. Whatever subject you choose (e.g., education, work-life balance, diet and exercise, politics, religion) there is corporate propaganda, political propaganda, academic propaganda, medical propaganda, main stream news propaganda and religious propaganda... Christmas is approaching. And, frankly, there is no other celebration more commercialized and propagandized than the birth of Christ. And and Nicaragua is no exception. The only difference is Nicaraguans will indeed spend more quality time with their families than do Americans. I don't celebrate Christmas. I've known about the "white death" (sugar) every since the 1970s. And I've never bought into corporatism or communism. Both Marxism and Corporatism are equally as bad. Moreover, America has become a very dangerous place to live unless you live in a place like I do in a rural, gated and low-crime area. Did you know that Fentanyl is now the number one killer in America of those who are 18-45 yrs old? Something is terribly wrong with America when the majority are fat, sick and nearly dead.

When I was 10 years old (I'm 28 now), the USA just felt much different and happier. This was back in like 2007 for me. Ever since like 2019 it started going downhill I feel like. I feel like it's social media that has driven people to become depressed but there's gotta be more. Would love to hear your opinion on this.

What your explaining about your childhood, that is fairly typical. Regardless to economic circumstance, our childhoods are always "rosier". That being said; heres how I view it.... at one point in time; there was an "American Dream" where anybody could go to the USA and get a highschool diploma and then buy a house in cash after working an average job for a few years. That was the TRUE American Dream. However; over time; that dream has become corrupted. We still pitch the same dream; but the cost has become so innordinately expensive... financing that dream went from 4 years of an average job... to multiple lifetimes... our corporate influence corrupted the American Dream further and further by drastically increasing cost of living... through fault or accident.... the end result is an American Dream where being able to afford to live is literaly the dream
@JackPitmanNica Жыл бұрын
The factors you mention, increased phone usage, increased reliance on pills and various other drugs; all of these compound to make the American citizen a very profitable product... it has very little to do with freedom or rights. Freedom is just what we talk about; it is not how we live.

Eskimos ate whale blubber, had no carbohydrates and did well because their body created glucose. You don't need carbs. Glucose is so important that your own body creates it from protein and fat you eat. Fructose is vestigial and damages the liver. It is found in table sugar. Table sugar is glucose+fructose. Fructose is found in fruits, but it does not harm you there because fruits contain fiber and that forms a gel and inhibits its absorption in your intestine. The liver cannot metabolize fructose well in that form, the form found in table sugar, soda, processed foods. The sugar industry doesn't want you to know that.

Lol what did carbs ever do to you? There's good carbs and bad carbs. The body literally runs on carbs and is the preferred fuel source. The issue is processed foods.
@JackPitmanNica Жыл бұрын
Carbs are the preffered food source in the same way that gasoline is the prefered fuel for a bonfire. Sure, gasoline burns more effectively than wood. But does that make it good for the situation? Carbs are similar. The high quantities of carbs in our diet flood our bodies with energy and then crash which has highly detrimental affects on our health
@miguelfonseca1104 Жыл бұрын
pure nonsense. Did you know that almost all the fruits you eat today are genetically engineered? the fruits you eat today were not what our ancestors ate. We never had such ample source of sugars as we do today. Carbs are carbs and the body processes it all the same. the american diet has a ridiculous amount of carbs no matter how you categorize them. Yes, they are some sources of sugar that are worse than others, but the quantities that we eat of them dwarf any fine detail of quality. the body can run completely carb free, just because it is the easiest source of energy has nothing to do with it being the best, in fact, did you know that people that are in heavily ketogenic diets can literally hold their breath longer because of how much more efficient drawing energy from ketones is? processed foods are usually bad because they are made cheaply. And what types of foods do americans get cheapest? carb and sugar heavy foods.. Thats why meats and vegetables are more expensive than bread, sodas and so called "Fruit juices".Processed doesnt inherently mean bad, but it usually means cutting costs.
@scoop2448 Жыл бұрын
@@JackPitmanNica That's a weird analogy. Yes they are the most efficient fuel source for the body... the fastest way to make cellular energy within almost all of your bodily tissues is through glycolysis (the process of breaking down glucose to make ATP). This is a good thing. The truth is that we need carbs from whole food sources and we need these things in high amounts to function and be optimally healthy. Your body is constantly making sugar to have it circulate in your bloodstream. Certain tissues are glucose-only tissues. Like your brain. Under starvation, or some people call it “ketosis”, your brain is able to use ketone bodies as fuel as a glucose substitute. Your red blood cells however, literally can ONLY use glucose. But why would the body prefer carbs if they are so bad for us? If you eat a high fat diet but still consume some carbs, your body is SO carb-biased that it will STILL choose to burn each and every last carb and avoid burning fat. We have to literally eliminate carbs to the point that they are under 25-50 grams a day (which is basically nothing) in order for the body to start burning fat to a very large degree. Carbs go first to being burned up if in excess, this actually increases your temperature, improves your thyroid health, and gives you something called energy. Next, if there is still excess, carbs will go into your cells and get stored in a non-toxic, water-rich form of storage that is associated with improved health, better blood sugar, improved athletic performance, reduced morbidity and reduced physical pain called...glycogen. What you are talking about is crashing from refined processed junk carbs with no fiber or you are simply not getting enough calories. You even said to get your carbs from veggies and fruits. So why are those carbs good? I agree with most other things you said and like listening to you but I think you should do more research on this, preferably outside the low carb circles.
@JackPitmanNica Жыл бұрын
I understand your concerns. I get that it sounds ridiculous to call things like bread and rice dangerous, but hear me out. Yes, the body itself runs on sugar. Everything we eat is converted into sugar so that our body can use it. For the most part. Even ketones; are converted into sugar for the parts of our body that use it. Heres the hang up. The body uses carb in the blood and digestive tract before it burns fat. So, we assume this means that the body's preference is to burn the carb. But what if the body is burning carb because its dangerous? What if carb is so dangerous to the body; that the body actually gets rid of it ASAP to eliminate that danger? It all boils down to insulin resistence. Insulin is a critical hormone in the body. It regulates many different systems. When we consume carbohydrate; our body produces more insulin. The more this happens; the greater our body's tolerance to insulin becomes; forcing our body to produce more and more insulin; until we reach a point where our tolerance to insulin is so high that the body can't function properly. This "insulin resistence syndrome" is the true culprit behind obesity, stroke, and heart disease. Carbohydrate consumption directly impacts insulin resistence. This is why you can live a much healthier life when you drastically reduce your carbohydrate consumption and replace the carbs with healthy fats and protein@@scoop2448

@@miguelfonseca1104 If you mean hybridized then yes. But I laugh when people tell me that fruit these days is so bad because of that. People that make these comments simply do not understand the fact that ALL plants and ALL fruits are hybrids somewhere down the line. The fact that we selectively bred them is simply analogous to what would happen in nature anyways. The sweeter, more robust, more appealing members of a type of plant would be seeked out more, eaten more, and have their seeds distributed more and so on. That's a relatively natural process. That would occur in nature anyways. Or, at least, it certainly COULD. Some fruits are genetically engineered and that would never occur in nature, and indeed there are many questions about allergic reactions to these new organisms, the impact over the long term, etc etc. Those I am more against. But simply plants that were subject to selective breeding? If someone can explain how those are not natural, I'd like to hear it. Bananas are a great example. Wild bananas are WAY different from the ones we all eat. And yet...there is no known adverse health effect from them. They're natural. No problem. "Carbs are carbs and the body processes it all the same." This is absurd. Whole food carb sources are very different than processed junk carbs or refined sugar. Fruits are health promoting and pack full of vitamins, minerals, antioxidants, phytochemicals and fiber, which change its behavior in its digestion and on its effect in the body compared to isolated sugar. There are countless studies showing fruit juices are not healthy, promote diabetes, and impair sugar metabolism. But then those same study designs, when done on whole fruit, find the opposite. I'm not advocationg standard american diet or processed carbs/sugar. SAD is not entirely carbs/sugar. It's also high fat processed foods. Basically the worst of both worlds. Donuts, fries, chips etc actually have more calories from fat. Processed foods are definitely bad b/c they process the good nutrients out of them. Anyway, the science is pretty clear: It's a slow, gradual benefit the more one limits the fat intake and increases WHOLE food carb sources up until the point of about 70% carb calorie sources and 20% fat calorie sources. Keto has only been proven to help with epilepsy. “In adults, common side effects include weight loss, constipation, raised cholesterol levels and, in women, menstrual irregularities including amenorrhoea.[41] Raised levels of lipids in the blood affect up to 60% of children[38] and cholesterol levels may increase by around 30%[29]. About 1 in 20 children on the ketogenic diet will develop kidney stones[39]" Very low or no carb is terrible. In fact probably the worst type of "health" diet one can come up with. Ketosis is literally starvation mode. It's a backup fuel source when you don't have any glucose, which is why your body responds to it like it’s in red alert mode. Cortisol goes up (a stress hormone, because your body is literally stressed by such a diet) which among other things (including premature aging) increases your blood sugar levels. And this is why cortisol was not used as a proof of concept in the early days. Same for LDL cholesterol, or blood pressure. These all consistently get worse on low carb or keto.
