The drafting here with the number 1 picks was actually quite solid. The 2001 Kwame Brown draft was really weak... And he played for a long time in the league. Being a serviceable big man. He was not a very good first pick, but not a total bust either. Now Andrea Bargnani was just miss. He didn't belong at all. I'm sure Raptors would like a mulligan here, but it is what it is. Oden, Rose, Griffin were all quite talented, but were hampered by injuries. You could toss in Yao Ming here too. You can't predict injuries... The only enigma here is Oden though, we basically never saw him play... He was always injured or recovering from one in the few games he played.

Bargnani averaged like 17 ppg in Toronto peaking at 21 ppg. Kwame never averaged more than 11ppg in his entire career. Saying Kwame was serviceable and bargnani was a miss is objectively wrong.
@timometsanoja9666 Жыл бұрын
@@matthewhewitt4145 Bargnani was give the keys to offense and he had every opportunity to succeed. Kwame Brown never had this opportunity nor should he have had that opportunity, but he was a decent defender and rebounder and could get some points when he got the ball near the basket. Bargnani did score, but his percentages were never that good... And he was a huge liability on the defensive end. He could and would be better today than back then. He had to go against Garnett's, Duncan's, Shaq's of the world and was literally eaten up for breakfast... Bad defender and a poor percentage volume shooter and barely a rebounder. He was supposed to be like Dirk or any of the legendary seven footers of the time. He fell far from it... And didn't play that long as a result. Kwame was labeled a bust pretty much on day 1 and he played for a decade. Nobody plays for a decade unless you have some worth to your game.

I am definitely not the biggest LBJ fan but I will give credit where credit is due. That man stayed healthy and backed up all the hype. The amount of pressure he had to have on his shoulders, and he took every bit of it in stride. What he has been able to accomplish is incredible. Easily one of the greatest players every in the NBA. I think it just depends what era you grew up watching. I grew up as a kid watching MJ, who was basically everyone's idol. You held Jordan at a higher standard and on a pedestal, so there is really no talking any of those people into the MJ vs LBJ discussions ha. It will always be MJ no matter what, and I think the same goes for the newer generation watching LBJ especially if they did not ever get to see Jordan. I remember back in the day my mom (who would not watch any sports unless I was playing in them) actually sat with us and watching the Bulls play the Supersonics or the Jazz in the playoffs. Those were the glory days of the NBA in my opinion. Just good hard nosed championship basketball, the event every family watched. I miss those days.

Kenyon was a solid role player a majority of his career. Blake had a very solid NBA and professional career which is naturally now reduced to coming off the bench. Barnagni was a beast on NBA 2k11, Bogut was a solid role player for his career but injuries slowed down his development. The 2000-2010 era was so much fun though, i love the nostalgia!

If Blake Griffin stayed in LA with CP3 he would've been a star. I think him going to detroit was the beginning of the end

Yet again Kwame and Greg are the biggest Bust but Bogut under achieved a little. 🤣🤣🤣

I can’t tell if you are being serious or not… Oden and Kwame’s stats are way worse than Bogut’s. Bogut also has a ring👍

Bogut was good on the bucks and was a good piece for the warriors defensively but injuries costed his career

Calling Kwame a bust is hilarious
@earthtothe9791 Жыл бұрын
Kwame tragedy was majority Micheal Jordan’s fault, although Mj is the Goat but dude has very bad personality, if you want the ring, go play with him. But if you want to be great, it is better leave him , dude will destroy your confident and love for the basketball. kwame should ask for trade in his second year.

Kwame played 13 seasons, how is he a bust, he just didn't live up to the no1 hype. But he remained in the league, what's a definition of a bust?
