Boise State beat the worst Oklahoma team of the 2000s. If I remember correctly Rhett Bomar and one of the TEs got thrown off the team before the season for receiving illegal benefits through a car dealership, so OU had an unqualified scrambling QB leading their offense. Let's not act like Boise beat the '00, '03, or '08 Sooners. The teams that played for the national championship would have blown Boise State out.

We were the Ravens Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Deion Sanders, Kelly Gregg Ect… people online mostly picked the Falcons for Vick’s speed which was insane or the Eagles for McNabb and TO. Only Ray Lewis could sprint sideline to sideline to catch Vick. The game play was crisp and the graphics and the half time show was amazing for its time. The buttons were simple. This brings back good times. NFL 2k5 belongs in the video game Hall of Fame.

Eagles fan checking in to say that hearing Brian Johnson''s name gave me ptsd lmao. We hated him as OC. Glad he's gone.

Idk why Larry Fitzgerald doesn't get more love in the top 5 lists. He's 4th on my list behind only Jerry Rice, Terrell Owens, and Randy Moss. Dude was fun to watch and an absolute savage. Defenders said they couldn't even talk bad to him because he was such a nice guy 😂. But he was gonna cook em 99% of the time. What a legend.

So, in general, if the cover athlete was a QB, then they had bad NFL careers, while any other position had solid to good careers. Carson Palmer and Matt Ryan being the obvious exceptions, but it's just interesting to see how hard it is to be a good QB in the nfl

Most people don’t even realize Matty Ryan was on a NCAA cover. Literally everyone started finding out after he retired that Matt Ryan had a cover of his own😭

On a related note, the soundtrack to 06 was wall-to-wall college radio bangers.

They sure did like putting RBs on the cover. You almost never see that on Madden nowadays. It’s all QBs, all the time.
