Im uncertain. I do recall in legends that some of the emperors Crimson royal guard were also force sensitive. All were trained by Vader. And fight him as a final trial. Of course one has his own story to tell about what happened to them all, after the fall. Great collection of comics. Too bad it too, is not canon anymore.

Finn had so much potential. He could've been this epic character who as Stormtrooper, defects the First Order due to discovering just how evil they really are, discovers his force abilities, and go on to become a Jedi Knight. That arc would've been SO MUCH better compared to the one we got now. Instead, he became the useless comic relief who constantly got his ass beat and is always shouting Rey's name like he knew her his whole damn life. This is just even more depressing now because this was what I was most excited for in the Sequel Trilogy.

@@christophersalinas2722 But for the Shadow Guard is more like a mystery. Even in the comics, they didn't reveal their origin on purpose, to create some mystery around them. According some of the speculation on the comics are: 1. They are force sensitive clones, specially selected and trained by Vader. 2. Ex Sun-troopers ( these with the gold uniforms). Again selected and trained by Vader. 3. Ex Jedi or force sensitive people. Vader and Emperor captured them in the beginning of jedi purge, brainwashed them and trained them in special program. All of these theories were hinted in comics and FU games. But no matter what, about three things about them you can be sure. First, they are very loyal and disciplined. Second, they feel no fear, remorse or doubts. They will fight to the very last. Even knowing that they 100%die, they still will fight you, just because that's the order or just to buy some time. And third, they are very skilled and extremely good trained. Vader and Palpatine selected only the strongest and the most natural skilled, put them in special training program. Something like Starkiller's. Brutal and very intense training and only few of them survived. The result is group of very skilled warriors and assassins. They know every lightsaber form, have many force abilities and are good commanders. Yes, they are good commanders. They are not some brainless idiots. They are so good commanders, that Vader and Palpatine send them some time to comman clone troopers or stormtroopers on missions to hunt jedi or to stop rebel attacks. And they were very successful in that. If the Royal Guard is always with Palpatine, the Shadow Guard is always with Vader. That's why in FU2 Starkiller faced some of them and God they were strong

This is what I wish Finn was. He should have been part of an experiment to artificially create force sensitive stormtroopers but the experiment went underground when the empire fell. It would also be fitting if he had the dark saber when finn, a traitor of the empire, obtains it from moff Gideon, an imperial remnant. This would have made him more unique. He could also join Luke's order and try to make up for it by helping the Jedi and new republic. Instead of bring a whiny coward, he would be cautious and calculating as opposed to the more impulsive but powerful and determined Rey. We could have seen the darksaber in the films and luke could have looked upon the legendary blade.

I've always thought that they're going to make Finn into the canon reimagining of Kyle Katarn, The Force Awakens had a lot of similarities and made it seem like that's the direction his character was intended for, and the introduction of his force sensitivity at the fall of the Final Order was a sort of confirmation for me. Maybe furthering his character will be the direction of the next trilogy, where we'll see a new generation of Jedi other than just the Skywalkers.

I'm kinda sad that Nova Stihl wasn't mentioned for Legends. He showed up in the Death Star novel having been stationed aboard the Death Star and didn't find out he was Force-sensitive until shortly before Alderaan was destroyed. You remember how Obi-Wan felt the effects of Alderaan's destruction from a massive distance? Yeah, multiply that by about a thousand and that's what Stihl felt because he was on board and thus much closer. It knocked him out cold I don't quite recall if Vader or anyone else was aware that he was Force-sensitive [excluding the ones he specifically told, who were all defectors], but he and one of his cohorts ended up dying while trying to fight off a bunch of stormtroopers so they could buy the other defectors time to escape during the Battle of Yavin -- he actually had nightmares of that very event happening and was kinda resigned to the fact that he was going to die when it finally came to pass The book identifies him as the lead stormtrooper trying to chase down Han and Chewbacca, though he stalled to let them escape. He was also present in the conference room when Tarkin was informed that Dantooine was deserted

I made a force sensitive clone trooper named Generic Jerry who could change his helmet from generation 1 clone trooper helmet to any type of clone or stormtrooper helmets. He was very fun being he was still alive during the time of the empire and the first order and trained a force sensitive first order stormtrooper named hunter. He died of natural causes.

In legends, later versions of the dark troopers were really just force sensitive stormtroopers (appearing in the dark empire comics), and you also had shadow troopers (stormtroopers artificially imbued with the force using crystals from the valley of the jedi).

The inquisitors objective list was discovering, locating, recovering or destroying. Recovering and retraining force sensitives was always the first priority, but destruction was kept close in hand if the sensitives refused one time, there were no second chances.

He's actually stronger in the dark side he just can't do lightning. Lightning is really the only thing he can't do and hes not as agile in the suit. However his telekinesis is even stronger, he changed his lightsaber combat to a strength based style, he's physically way more powerful and taller, he can still force jump he found a way to do that and basically glide or hover briefly in the air, he force chokes like a monster which Jedi don't do, etc etc etc. The only thing he is weak against is the lightning which keeps him from overthrowing palpatine or else I think he'd actually body him. Palpatine got much older and physically weaker by episodes 4-6 and didnt bother with lightsabers anymore because he had no one to use them against and honestly I think by that point Vader was probably his superior in dueling experience. He fought the best of the best in lightsaber combat and killed countless skilled Jedi even killing 8 at once. Everyone forgets that dooku was one of the best lightsaber duelists ever and he got shocked that he was getting matched by Anakin when he thought he was gonna toy with him then lose on purpose. That fight didn't go as dooku planned at all and he expected palpatine to save him. Anakin's own arrogance and youthful stupidity cost him the obiwan fight, but if it kept going he probably would have killed him too. He pushed obiwan back the whole fight. Palpatine lost to windu in saber, stalemated Yoda, and to me only proved he was better than mediocre to decent lightsaber duelists who he chewed up easily. Every time he got in trouble in Canon he busted out the lightning or Windu or Yoda could have both killed him. I mean this is a guy who is all powerful but every time he fights a legit badass he resorts to the lightning. So in comparison Vader is not weaker than Palpatine even he just can't do the one power that will kill him. It's palps trump card on him and he knows it. In every other way Vader is a monster and palps knows it.

Also if you're wondering Palpatine doesn't train him or spar with him because if he gave him an opening in a match Vader would kill him. Easier to keep him at arm's length and just give him orders and missions and not see him for months at a time

I’m willing to guess that the “unknown place” that the force sensitive trainees would be taken to would be the Fortress Inquisitiorius that is shown in Jedi: Fallen Order. I mean, the place has a torture chamber, and is legitimately named after the Inquisitors. Also, in the same game, you see that it has a training center, and could be used for such training of inquisitors. And with Fallen Order being confirmed canon, it really does make sense

Nick Barrett They showed him sensing where they signal was switch in regards to the ships and feeling Rey die. The writers also did an interview confirming these things were meant to confirm he was force Sensitive and Strong in the Force.They also revisited him breaking thru the storm trooper conditioning in Force Awakens. In my opinion it makes the Force Awakens make more sense for his character and Rey to be honest.

Theory: Finn and every other force sensitive Stormtrooper that made it through Academy either defected (like Finn and the ones we meet briefly on Endor) or went for "retraininng" to either be turned or killed like any other force sensitive found. "Something" told Finn he shouldn't be killing innocent people and kept him from firing. "Something" actually helped him sense Rey and other. Not to mention that he could actually hit and destroy moving targets. Yes Finn is force sensitive and it is canon.

@Adventure Inc Haha spoken like a true asshat. Fyi Finn is the character I like the most out of the main trio. Poe and Rey are pretty bland. The problem is that in 7 and 8 there's nothing to suggest that Finn is force-sensitive. So once again they just completely made that up afterwards, as it has always been since the prequels. I'd have no qualms if something as important as that was given more than a throwaway explanation. Like I said, Finn's a main character. So him being force-sensitive or not is important.

There was a DS game about force sensitive clones it was pretty good for a DS game. You were a clone and there is another clone you’re close to and it turns out you’re both force sensitive and you start out working together under the Republic in the clone army and eventually you get separated after order 66 and you find a surviving Jedi and he helps you find out your force sensitive and trains you to be a Jedi but you’re friend gets picked up by the empire and becomes one of Vader’s sith troops and the final mission in the game is to fight and kill your friend you spent the first part of the game getting to know. I just want to say this may not be perfect, I haven’t owned a DS since I was 11 so it’s been a while.
