Excellent story! There was one interesting bit that IJE owned Kid Stuff Records, I have plenty of the record albums including 13 Strawberry Shortcake albums including three original soundtrack albums to the first three Strawberry Shortcake TV specials, plus a couple of Strawberry Shortcake albums that were put out by Kid Stuff during the early 1980’s. Plus Kid Stuff also put out a series of children’s albums based off of licensed characters. By the mid 1980’s Kid Stuff no longer made the licensed based character albums and stories and IJE formed GameTek, and many of the original Kid Stuff recordings belongs to Acclaim Entertainment, another video game publisher where it later bought LJN in 1991. BTW, Kid Stuff Records was founded by Bob McAllister, the host of a local NYC kids TV show called “Wonderama” along with Artie Kaplin and Dick Mullen in 1975. The original location was in New York City, and then moved south to Hollywood, FL where Irwin H Schwartz founded IJE and distributed the Kid Stuff brand. UPDATE: Did you know that IJE was stood for Irv & Jerry Enterprises, and it was named after their founders Irv Schwartz and Jerry Weiner who were former employees of Disneyland Records. Irv and Jerry first came to Disneyland Records in the 1960’s as sales managers at the time.

I grew up in South Florida and only really learned about where they were a few years ago. I even drove around where they used to have their offices. Based on the address provided on the Kid Stuff label, where IJE once had its offices, an office building still sits, albeit across the road from a shopping center that includes Target and Publix.

I am a HUGE Wheel of Fortune fan, and I have a massive Wheel of Fortune collection which includes a very rare Wheel of Fortune handheld game from 2004 called Wheel of Fortune Live Play. I actually made a recreation of the Wheel layout used in that game and made it my avatar. I read there were some platforms that Wheel was planned for yet were ultimately unreleased. A company called the Great Game Company planned Wheel and many other game shows for the Atari 2600, but the Crash of 1983 prevented any of those games from coming out. Wheel was also planned by Philips for their CD-i, but that didn't come out (although some other game show titles made it to that system). There was a Wheel of Fortune Deluxe Edition released for the SNES in 1993 and MS-DOS and Windows 3.1 in 1994. I heard about a Deluxe Edition released in 1996 that was exclusive to Windows 95, but right now, I can't find a copy of such, not even on eBay. GameTek also planned to release Wheel for the 3D0 and SEGA Saturn, as stated at the end of a late 1996 episode of the show, but no copies appear to exist for either platform, although Family Feud did come out for the 3D0 and Wheel was released for the N64. Two theories of mine as to why Wheel didn't come out for the 3D0 and the Saturn, in addition to GameTek losing money and resources, are that the 3D0 and Saturn did not sell well and that the Saturn was a very difficult system to program games for. I never saw any videos here at KZbin about the history of GameTek until now, and if there's someone who can help me and my fellow fans snag a copy of Wheel for the Saturn, 3D0, and Windows 95, I wouldn't be surprised if you're that person.
