If it were true that they can't be in the same "universe" then that poster of CJ shouldn't exist, not even as an easter egg. Also, lazlo is in literally every single game. He's only a voice in most of them, but still, he's there. Also "3D vs HD universe" makes no sense. Both are 3D, one of them just has higher-poly models.

Example if batman left Gotham for a month and told Robin take his place till he gets back that does not make Robin the leader.
