I only began collecting fitteds in May 2023. Hat Heaven has a great selection of Milb caps. I have spent over $1,000 with them. They have a good prices and a generous points/reward system. Their emails and texts have always been friendly. I was unaware about this email hinting at final sale prices. One time, I prematurely cashed in points for a $5 voucher so I asked them for the points back, and they graciously obliged. I personally have never had a bad experience with them. I’ll continue to by Milb hats from Hat Heaven.

Yes, in many ways they've been one of the best - and I didn't even mention the solid rewards program in the video - but their business reactions in 2023 have seemed out-of-character with their recent past.

Great video, thanks for sharing this. The bubble definitely bursted for a lot of businesses.

I've purchased many caps from Hat Heaven. They have a nice selection of wool and minor league caps, and their prices are good. I agree with your thoughts on the summer clearance sale. It seems those plain Jane caps weren't selling as well as they liked, although I bought several of them. Now, most of their new caps have sidepatches like the other stores. I hope Hat Heaven will retain the distinctiveness that made them great.

Hat Heaven definitely seems to have lost their way. You could always rely on them for various, interesting color remixes (like that Tigers cap) or cool minor league caps. I remember buying a really nice black Fresno Grizzlies cap. They also periodically restocked the Cooperstown on-field caps. They had a HUGE minor league drop a while back. I bought a lot of good stuff. Logos and teams I'd never seen done. It was especially refreshing after Hat Club had gone away from daily drops that sometimes included those classic MiLB looks. The sticking point for me with all of it was NO SIDE PATCHES. At least for the majority of their caps. They're just like everyone else now in that way.

I agree 👍 . Loved the minor league drops. And the side patches are getting played out, boring 😴

HH definitely struggled in 2023, and deservedly so. I also noticed the change of tone in their emails. I get so tired of grey UVs, they should offer more classic green unders.

Yea I used to love them but not sure what happened

I’m really happy you made this video. After the increase in drops, especially the last two months, I actually unsubscribed from their emails. It’s was too much, too often, with the same products. A little over a year ago I bought a great Palm Springs Angels cap from them that I get compliments on. This cap was supposed to be a “one time drop”, but since then I see it reappear with limited sizes. That alone turned me off on HH. Haven’t made a purchase from them since then.

Thanks for the comments, "too much and too often" is a good description of current state at HH.

I remember seeing that sale last summer, but the only part of the message that stuck with me is that the clearance styles would never be stocked again, so get em while you can. I hadn't purchased a NE 59fifty in a long time, so I grabbed one for $15. Hat Heaven has always had a good balance of plain Jane daily drivers mixed with some tasteful sidepatch hats. Not sure if they've changed that ratio of product mix based on the "market correction" or something else behind the scenes, if at all. I was deeply involved in the fitted hat bubble during the pandemic but my fitted purchases have fallen off a cliff. Rampant consumerism disguised as "collecting" is something I don't want to participate in anymore.

Hey man, good to hear from you again... and I do remember you being pretty engaged with fitteds a year or two ago, as you said. I hit a similar point where I decided that I couldn't keep up with it anymore - I stopped doing video reviews of new collections, for starters - and tried to focus on wearing and maintaining the hats I already have. Seems that so many specialty goods went bananas during the pandemic that the comedown is pretty harsh for vendors that thought it would last for a while. Thanks for the comments.

@dreinthe616 Thanks for the video. Good to see you again and your older videos on fitting/stretching and steaming have really been the lynchpin in giving new/extended life to some hats that are less than perfect. I hope we'll continue to see you here. Thanks!

I paused it then zoomed it, and read the actual email, wow they round ridiculous😂, almost like they are desperate and trying rush, pressure, and guilt trip you into buying there stock thats not selling. Very unprofessional sounding email overall!

I would like to see you do a video on topperz store that website had a hell of a selection then they had some disputes they can't ship to the United States anymore do you know any information about that I know they recently opened a USA store in Brooklyn is there going to be any progress with that company!
@dreinthe616 Жыл бұрын
Unfortunately I don't have much information on them and the US situation. I have partnered with the Captician in prior videos, and Captician cleaning kits have been sold in Topperz' UK and EU stores for a little while I believe.

Yeah I bought some of her products she's a real nice lady just like you guys respond to questions on keeping hats looking fresh and sharp!

Topperz store can’t ship directly to the US anymore. It’s a licensing issue with New Era. You can use a reshipper if you really want one of their caps. Topperzstore USA is great. I’ve bought a lot of hats from them. They don’t have the exact same selection as the EU store, but they are probably the best hat store in the game currently. Also, the physical store is in the Bronx, not Brooklyn.

I also think they're a great vendor. Nice observations too! Horrible business model on their part. Shame. It was also refreshing to see them not jump on the side patch craze that most other vendors have. I still shop there mainly because of how many rewards points I've accumulated over the past few years. I'll give them that, their rewards program is fairly decent. Keep the videos coming, Doug. Happy holidays!

Been buying from Hat heaven for a couple years now its still a solid spot to buy nice clean Fitted that isnt covered with Patches and that stands out from the crowd, A lot of the people that are into fitteds now where the ones wearing dad hats a couple years ago, i hope hat heaven stay true to the simple but classy fitted
@dreinthe61610 ай бұрын
Agreed - I do have to give them credit for keeping clean designs (non-patched) in their regular mix.
@louio Жыл бұрын
Besides having the classics, their hat sizes are inconsistent. They either run small or when you size up its runs large. I had to return a Chicago white sox 05 world series because it was too tight. That being said i have yet to receive an email about a refund. 😂

HH has def fallen off. I am a person that always loved their clean designs. They have kind of been blackballed by the hat community.

Agreed. Same with Mickey’s Place. The cap industry is just a cluster you know what right now.

The fitted market is crashing. Hatheaven has a tone of half price. Also a Florida website "fresh rags", lots of devil rays and Miami, as well as Florida minor league. Amazing 25 dollar fitted caps and 20.buck A frames. I am digging A frames lately from culture kings

Cool, thanks for the comments, I'll have some upcoming content on similar cap styles too.
