Jalen Ramsey was a bit "jumpy" at times but the Bengals went after him more than other teams have this year. The bigger question is why didn't the Bengals go after the Rams "banged up" secondary on the other side.
@Gd8one2 жыл бұрын
Williams and Long Jr were not banged up. Weddle got hurt during the game. Chase, boyd and Higgins combined for 14 receptions most were quick throws to protect vs pass rush. They did get 2 huge plays 1 to Higgins on a missed OPI & facemask and the other to chase which is on this video. Ramsey had solid coverage but chase made an all pro level catch.

@@Gd8one Ramsey also prob should have been called for PI on the long chase throw. He basically dove to grab his arm when he realized he was beat. Zac Taylor happened. The Rams were last in the league against the screen, and Mixon was averaging over 4 yards....
@ajalvarez31112 жыл бұрын
Agree that the Bengals should have tried more screens. Not sure I agree on more Mixon. Mixon had 8 runs for 32 yards in the 2nd half. A very respectable 4 yards per carry, especially relative to how poorly the Rams were running. However, he had a run of 12 yards and that means he only gained 20 on 7 carries…less than 3 yards per carry. These contributed to a few of the 3rd and longs the Bengals couldn’t overcome. He’s also not a very good pass protecting back relative to Perine. And they sure needed pass protection so they could get the ball to their downfield receivers that did have some open opportunities. That having been said, I agree Mixon should have been in there on the final drive on at least the 3rd and 1 play.
@spenceraaronsegal52712 жыл бұрын
An unimpressive outing for Burrow, no doubt. He had no trust in his OL (for good reason!), and it made him jumpy. His eyes came down way more often than usual, led to him missing reads and having sloppy mechanics at times. this video is a good analysis of that. Burrow is good, there's no doubt, but it's going to be tough to make it back. Playing in the AFC with Mahomes, Herbert, Lamar, Allen, and the next gen of QBs (Lawrence, Jones, Wilson), let alone the possibility of Watson returning, potential development from Tua, and the ever-present possibility that Tannehill, Carr, or Mayfield wake up on the good side of the bed and go nuclear for a game, is a serious impediment to future success. It'll make for great football to watch, but it's tough to win playoff games consistently against such a high level of competition.

Even Burrow was trying to relent to that idea with him trying to hold onto the ball to try extend the play and go beyond the sticks. I think the problem is Taylor didn't adjust in the 2nd half from that Rams pressure and tried more quicker passes to alleviate that. So he can THEN try go for a KO punch for a Chase bomb. The face mask pull was payback for the tee-shirt pull earlier that prevented a Bengals TD. Both were penalties, but neither called. I saw this coming after that shirt pull. Bengals may have won if they would have made 7 instead of 3. Then there was the ghost defensive holding penalty against the Bengals at the end of the game. Poorly called game for sure. If the Bengals can fix the o-line issues they will be back. The Rams leveraged their future for this year. At least Stafford had his moment.

The Rams won, but I’m not sure they beat the Bengals. Another reason why I prefer College FB.

You’re right. It looks like they beat the Little Sisters of the Lily Fields in the SB. Where were the Bengals?

He played better than Stafford to be honest, even though Matt had a new york minute to throw.

Even when the Bengals D was adjusting in the 2nd half and had a monster 3rd quarter at limiting the Rams, Stafford put his 2 INTs behind him and helped mount a drive with his only real threat out there in Kupp to try get the TD that would put the Rams up for good. Dude was fearless in the throws he needed to make and was decisive with it. Despite the Bengals O-line dying in the 2nd half, Burrow had open guys and he just needed to settle to them than holding onto the ball to try go big. Instead he got punished for it.

Qbr says burrow was worst than Patrick mahomes last sb. Idk what game you saw but i saw Matt being aggressive and Burrow being a bit shook up. Burrow scored 1 td

Hard to watch? Are you a LA Rams hater?

It's hard to watch the Bengals score 17 unanswered to take a 20-13 lead, just for the Line to COMPLETELY fall apart towards the end of the game (6 2nd half sacks), and basically cost the game. It's nothing against the Rams, just disappointing for the Bengals.

@@Biden_Bluh yeah that offensive line completely fell apart for Burrows

@@tazman3726 I'm curious what would happened if they went all out drafting O line.Thry already have/had a good WR Minus chase, a solid run game and an underrated defense, not to mention Burrow. So, IF (and that's a big IF) they drafted a good Olinemen or two, that made have been a better decision. Sometimes it's better to get two or three good or great players then 1 elite player I.e. Patriots for 2 decades.

Are you so simple as to think that people need to be a "hater" to have this opinion?
@jordanvalenzuela69692 жыл бұрын
Yeah they really shouldn’t have put their hands in AD’s face like that after he pushed Burrow out of bounds. AD was already pissed after the gifted Higgins TD and the 2nd interception, but pissing him off more was not the move lol. I know Bengals O line fell apart, but I think it’s more that the Rams pass rush decided to step it up and take the game over. The whole D line turned into monsters after that….

J.T. Sullivan was shit in the NFL as a QB bc he was situationally unaware. Clearly nothing has changed as an analyst. He’s saying Burrow needs to take shots, yet he has constant pressure in his face coming from all angles. Understand the dynamics of the situation. The guy took more shots downfield than anyone this year and you think he just magically ignored them in the Super Bowl even with Chase owning Ramsey all game? You aren’t Dan Orlovsky Jr. you aren’t going to do some breakdowns on video and then get hired by ESPN. Go golf. You have to be better at that than you are at this.

You formed this opinion how? In all your film study? He did ignore the shots in the Super Bowl. He also ignored the east underneath stuff. And Ramsey wasn’t exactly playing lights out. You gotta start actually watching the games man.

That's what happens when you get overrated the media wanting a Cinderella story. Joe Burrow is good not elite yet. Bengals got lucky in Tennessee didn't really out play the Chiefs(they beat themselves) but hey Cincy got the win. Luck finally ran out. The better team actually won.
