If nothing happens, I hope people aren’t surprised. I mean the NBA still to this day congratulates Karl Malone. There’s very public information about what he did, and a lot of the NBA fans know what he did, yet the NBA could care less. So if nothing happens I wouldn’t be surprised. This would be a major hit compared to a lot of other scandals in the NBA reputation. In a weird way, flashing guns, or domestic violence can sorta be struggled off (not by me, but by most fans) since it’s a very common thing apparently in American sports. But pedo accusations is a whole different thing, kinda… But I could see them using Australian laws for josh giddey not knowing or whatever bs. But yeah. Either there’s actual consequences or it’s gonna be a slap on the wrist because of whatever happens behind the scenes. Idk. 1) there's no proof he had sex with that girl 2) a guy posted an insta video where josh had met the girl in a club that served alcohol and she snuck in, he can sue the club owner for letting in a minor 3) there is a lot of conjecture over the girls actual age and it's only a problem if she's 15 or younger because the age of consent in oklahoma is 16 this is a nothing burger and people are just using it as an opportunity to meme and laugh, but the karl malone comparison is extremely fucked up because what Karl did is super wrong and is super fucked up and the comparison is way off base and can ruin a man's life and reputation when all Giddey did was hug a girl he met in the club that turned out to be a minor who snuck in
