Jesse Isbell The Covenant remnants wouldn’t stand a chance against the UNSC. Just remember if things were dire they would just summon the Infinity, a Infinity-class ship that has shields and a power double MAC, with MAC guns that can rotate on it’s surface too. It’s basically unstoppable. It also has around 10 Strident-class frigates stored in it’s hull that it releases when engaging in battle.

Any Covenant Remnant fleet would have to engage the UNSC Infinity if they tried, which said ship is stronger than almost every Covenant ship ever built minus the CSO-class Supercarrier, but I think the Remnants are out of those. Besides, the Remnants under Jul 'Mdama were beaten in 5, with Jul himself having been killed. The Swords of Sangheilios had already won against the Remnants, and most other factions aside from the Banished are either easy pickings, or already dealt with. The Banished are the only faction aside from the Swords that can actually fight against humanity, especially since their leader Atriox is very smart and cunning for a Jiralhanae.

I have a halo theory. 343 have essentially confirmed cortana has been infected by the logic plague. And the halo 5 legendary ending featured showed that cortana has plans with zeta halo which has a very long history withe the flood. Also the infinite trailer was on zeta halos so my idea is that cortana won't use the halos as a super weapon but she will release the flood, forcing everyone to accept her protection. If the unsc cant fight off the created and the flood then they have to accept her protection and if they don't then the galaxy will be infected anyway just like her flood masters want. And if it is the precursors plan to infect the galaxy with the flood to determine who has the mantle of responsibility it makes complete sense. Also she could still fire the rings as a last resort by keeping a reclaimer in her possession.

I agree with most of your theory but when you said she can just light the rings as a last resort she will still need a reclaimer to light the rings though and if the flood won she can't do it. Unless there is another way to light the rings and I don't think there is.

When you mentioned the Precursors I started thinking that the Precursor AI on Maythrillian might have some sort of influnce on Cortana due to the Logic plague. I remember it being named Abaddon

I also have a theory of this. The Cortana in Halo 5 is the Cortana clone made in the book "The Flood" to land the pillar of autumn. She got the logic plague from the proto gravemind Keyes, and escaped through the domain when she came across 343 guilty spark in the systems of the pillar of autumn. You're welcome.

I can't help but feel the epilogue in Halo Reach was more than a poetic end to Noble 6s story, but more a suggestion at what humanity will be up to in the 2680s-90s. For some reason, I find it highly unlikely that the ancient forerunner ship was destroyed at all, if anything it might have been slightly damaged, but as we see time and time again, forerunner artifacts, ships, and even weapons prove almost impossible to destroy or damage, as they seem to have some sort of nanotechnology implemented upon them, if anything, the explosion only may have damaged the ship enough to leave it disabled until humanity could eventually recover it. Afterall, in the scene where they show it "being destroyed" it looks more like they were digging it out of the ice it was buried under. As for the crystals, I don't really have much knowledge about them, but I dought the forerunners would have only 1 of such a device. Edit: would also like to point out, that the very mention that it was a ship once, could prove that we could see it in use at some point in the future, granted, maybe not as grand or great as it originally was with it being damaged, but still, dought it was destroyed.

You’d walk around, a ONI Field Agent, or a ODST either one would work, who survived the invasion of reach. it’d be like Fallout : Reach. And If I can remember there are habitable parts of reach, but you have to like kinda gather clues and overtime you realize ONI wants you to find their beloved Spartan-III HeadHunter, who kept contact with those who survived, of course this would occur either earlier or later then Halo: Infinite. At one point I was working on a fan made story dealing with an ODST on Reach who got hit by a wraith shot and was saved by a doctor and his son. The ODST would wake up in a bunker with a replaced right arm and a new lower right leg. I had it planned out that the flood would actually be there as well as on Earth. The ODST along with some survivors fought off the flood and left Reach. But I never finished, at the end only a hand full of people would find a way off Reach and make it back to Earth after the war ended. The ODST was going to become a Spartan 4 , but yeah I never finished. Probably would've sucked anyway

I think glass also comes from the fact that rocking planets often have upper crust layers composed of Silicon Oxide. Silicon oxide turns into glass or tephra when heated.
