It's funny how he was criticized for his height when he's the same height as Russell Wilson, one inch shorter than Drew Brees and is taller than Kyler Murray. Like do these scouts pay any attention the rest of the league?
@mkepioneet3 жыл бұрын
No kidding! At this point they're like (at least) 15-20 years behind - especially with the height thing because that's a relic from like the 90s!

@@mkepioneet yuh also that mobile qbs won’t do good in the nfl those r the two things that make qbs drop in the draft its dumb. Also if ur majoring in biology that’s a big factor apparently in a good qb prospect and one that’s a bust since that makes u not focused on football somehow @jherbo

The biggest problem that isn't stated in this video is that he really struggled against man defense and against cover 3 because he didn't really have the arm power to make it as an NFL or even a CFL QB. That and Johnson had a weird quirk in his throwing motion where he could only throw with power sidearm.

He was incredible to watch, I went to school with him at BG. There was a play in the Tulsa game (the game that jump started his career at BG) where he eluded a defender and then did a spin move to move the chains. That play was what changed BG football history forever. Plus it was not mentioned in the video that he led the Falcons to a MAC Championship in 2013 over #14 Northern Illinois, winning 47-27. NIU was led by Heisman candidate Jordan Lynch (a guy who should get one of these videos as well, he was a stud!!). Matty J was 21-27, 393 yards, with 5 TDs compared to Lynch going 21-40, 219 yards, and 1 TD in that game. This was a great video, thanks for making it!
