I loved many, but the top one was Maggie Smith! She had the most hilarious lines, and she delivered them perfectly!

They were all so good, I could not pick just one. I so want to see another DA next life.

1) Violet--Maggie Smith was SUPERB in this show!! 2) Mr. Bates--John Bates allowed his love for Anna to 'soothe the beast' & I loved his character because he also was clever, worldly & had an edge about him like no other character in the show. His character reminds me of Rip in Yellowstone--multifaceted, interesting to watch & very intriguing.

I really enjoyed the project Boneville and McGovern did before Downton. Hilarious.

I almost quit DA a bunch of times bc I just couldn't stomach Elizabeth McGovern. She may be fine in other projects, but in DA she had one facial expression that she rarely deviated from; the contrast between her and the other characters was huge, because the rest of the acting was SO GOOD.

Finally, someone agrees with me about Elizabeth Mc. Govern.. Her general demeanor on the show was awful.. The way she would keep her head down and kept it to one side...as she was talking Also, why speak like a 'simpleton' .? Sweet and sticky, syrupy way of talking....just so fake. !!

Q. What Happened To The Cast Of Downton Abbey After The Show? A. They were all granted travel passes that permitted them to move forward from the 20th century, to join the rest of us in the 21st century

Just a matter of interest, my all time hate of the misuse of our language, of instead of have! I don’t understand why you say I would of loved (Incorrect) then you say to have watched, which is correct! If you can say it correctly once, why not both times?
