The one that really got me was the Erik Spoelstra part. Spo was still young but was part of the team for years, head coach for three years when LeBron wanted him out. And LeBron wasn't a proven winner yet (IIRC he was the same age as Tatum is currently when he came to Miami.) You can't expect the front office to make coaching decisions to cater to him specifically as opposed to now or 2016 when LeBron was proven to be HIM. Letting the homegrown coaches actually grow worked out in this situation.

As an LA fan, the ring was nice, but I would've much rather them actually rebuild. Looking at the Celtics, Minnesota, Nuggets and OKC, it makes me jealous because they were actually able to fully rebuild a proper team. Rather than just always trading every season to find new pieces that fits. Now we gotta wait even more until Lebron and AD leaves to start rebuilding and that'll probably take 6-10 years. Not worth the ring tbh.

As to why franchises keep hiring these head coaches for Lebron, it seems like Lebron has had significant sway over the front office for the latter half of his career. He has had sway over the players these franchises have traded for and likely what head coaches they hire. Thus, it seems like Lebron has wanted these inexperienced head coaches so that he can ultimately have more of a say on how the team plays. He is one of the best ever so I am not arguing he doesn't deserve this influence, but he really seems to want a yes man.
