Because the other players in the collection that year were Peter Schmeichei Denis Irwin Gary Pallister Steve Bruce Lee Sharpe Bryan Robson Roy Keane Ryan Giggs Paul Ince Andrei Kanchelskis Mark Hughes Eric Cantona Brian McClair Dion Dublin And out of all of them, Parker is arguably the most obscure.

​@Retro-Football-Club a stacked team but Dublin was that player. Barely played for United. Parker had a GREAT World Cup, was captain at QPR, and that season started virtually every game for United. That said, I love any video that talks about him as he was my boy hood idol!

If you're a Championship Manager 97/98 fan, he's also a very good free transfer at the start of the game if you're a lower league club. I always sign him.

Hmmmm we’ve got to disagree on Dublin , for sure he is the most obscure in a United shirt , but the angle we are coming from is the most obscure in general. We can hardly call Dion Dublin obscure, he is at the very least a Premier League cult hero. He played in the top flight for 13 seasons, he’s part of the “100 club” scoring 111 goals and is a well known player, Parker although brilliant at a time only played 105 games for United in the league over 5 seasons and when he left at the age of 32 his career tailed off very quickly, 7 clubs in just over a year after leaving before retiring and only managed in the depths of non-league.
