Life fucking sucks when you cannot find missing stuff. For example, my very own Merlins 1993/94 Premier League Sticker Album.I have the 1994/95 album but for the life of me I don't know what happened to the 93/94. It's at times like this that I absolutely do NOT care for family members. The amount of my stuff those assholes have thrown away good grief.

As a Wednesday fan I have to take issue with your choice. We've won nearly twice as many trophies as t'other lot, still spent more seasons in the EPL than them and played in Europe on numerous occasions which they never have. In addition at the end of this season it will be 100 years since they last won anything!

Darren Caskey is the only player I have ever seen who has come on as a sub to take a free kick and then score it. I loved him at Reading, he had so much talent but sadly his work rate was terrible.
@koncorde4 күн бұрын
The trifecta of players that were bandied around at the time were Joachim, Gallen and Fowler. Caskey had scored the winner in the U18 UEFA European Cup but it had been Joachim & Fowler who was most impressive. Hanging around in same team was Scholes, Butt, Neville, Campbell and some quality players who suffered terrible injuries (Casper and Tinkler). Caskey dropped down a divisions hoping to be promoted with a Reading team that had come close the year before - but they couldn't repeat the form and he didn't shine in a struggling team in an aggressive division. Can remember as a kid opening the book, reading these player profiles, and wondering what kind of crack they were smoking.

We could say a lot but if you look at the way we’ve structured it any of the selections that are a bit obvious we’ve given a bit of love to other teams that are worth a mention. Hence we don’t have to explain that Forest are the biggest team in Notts it’s self explanatory 🤙🏻

As someone who watched him at Chelsea, I'm appalled and saddened at Shipperly's fate. It's also unfortunate that he got done for indecent exposure. Whilst we're dealing with top drawer comedy, I should add that I unfailingly referred to Ian Sellie as Ian Smelly. In my defence, I was only 25 at the time.

Andy Cole at Newcastle was only 21 when the season kicked off and was about to make his Premier League debut... he scored 34 and won YPOTY. Sol Campbell was 18 before the season started and had only played one Premier League game. He went on to play 503 and won it twice with Arsenal. Robbie Fowler was 18 pre season and had never played Premier League football. He scored 12 that season and eventually 163 in 379 PL appearances. Gary Neville was 18 pre season, only played once in 93-94 but went on to play 400 PL games and win it 8 times. Ray Parlour was 20 and had only played 21 Premier League games prior to the season. He went on 385 PL appearances and won it 3 times with Arsenal. 5 U21 success stories that played in that season :)

Fun trip down into the Premier League vaults. Being a Norwich fan, I would bracket Eadie in the same category as Dean Ashton. Exceptionally talented, deprived of their best years by injury. Not sure there's anything that can prepare someone mentally for that. Thankfully, many of the ex Norwich pros are friends and even play on the same five aside team! (Holt, Hoolahan, Huckerby, Eadie...can you imagine?!)
