I bought the Polene #1 uno bag and sent it right back. The “leather” was so hard and stiff I couldn’t even open the bag wide enough to put my phone in for fear I would tear the sides. I paid $400+ and was so disappointed because I absolutely love the color & design. I bought the coach tabby and love it. The quality is great. I use it to run errands, take bowling, & go to grandchildren’s soccer games. It’s a “no worries” bag. This is a great review. Thank you!

Yes some people love smushy bags while other likes more structured bags. I personally like more structured hence that's why I like my Polenes. Glad you love your coach, but one was enough right? 😆 Thanks for sharing!

I can garantee You that they are like all shady Instagram sellers; It may be pig skin,horse skin. And best believe they cut cornere to speed up production. So the leather do not trust. The people behinf I do not trust etc. Anyone noticed the "influencers" are so fast at jumping the band wagon when errors are found at big designer houses? Here is why: those sodding "it" bag pusher PAY them to distrust and also believe that these dobvious contemporary" brands are as good quality as the big names. They are not. Not one bag influencer to trust anymore. Dont believe for a second that the bags they push,are the one they actually use.

Coach are very popular because the quality is excellent, and the customer service is great. Only have 2 bags from the Outlet which are great, but most are from the main stores/website. Bandits, rogues and top handles, Madison's and various versions of the tabby in my experience are excellent. i have also sold a few (duplicates as loved them so much) and made close to asking price. Not something you get with many designer bags. I have a few Aspinal bags too, again the quality and service is excellent. The colours are great too in my opinion.

Out of the mentioned bags, I only own the coach tabby in 26. To be honest, it’s way more than the hype, a very practical and classy bag. I love it. I mean don’t like the cargo tabby or the pillow tabby but the classic one is a keeper for sure.

I use the Lulu bag constantly when I'm out for a run or walk or to the gym or on a comfy day. I've washed mine and it's stayed in shape surprisingly as I find Lulu not too reliable these days with quality or true functionality. Be happy to buy the bronze one from you though - I've wanted that one for a while!

Yup, I have the Lulu Lemon and several of the Uniqlo shoulder bags. I was gifted the LL and love it for when I walk the dog because it holds everything I need to be out for a couple of hours, importantly the dog’s fold up drink bowl. The Uniqlo bag is a great ‘pop out bag’. If I’m dressed down and literally only popping out for a supermarket sweep or coffee/lunch run, it’s my go to crossbody bag. It’s good in the rain, cheap enough to have a few different colours and appropriate for those trips. Just ordered the Coach quilted Tabby 20 - my 1st Coach bag - which I did get at a great price. I wear a lot of linen and I’m not sure how I’ll feel about a chain strap so this is a good ‘test’ bag for me.

Yes the Uniqlo bags are accessible via price point and online. I wish they used a higher quality zipper like the Lululemon belt bag zipper. Good luck on your new coach bag! I hope it works out!

I have the Demellier Vancouver, London, and Montreal bags in many colors. They are among my favorite bags. I also love my Strathberry and Aspinal of London bags. I do admit to being addicted to high end designer handbags like Dior, LV, Chanel, Gucci, and Hermes as well.

i’m still using the bags i have. i love my demiellier and strathberry bags. i rarely see them where i live. i just ordered a new coach today from their newest runway show….as for outlets, i live near burberry, ysl, fendi, balmain, jimmy choo, carolina herrera, gucci, ….all have outlet stores. i actually carry my mid priced bags more than the chanel bags i have ….

I just sent back the Songmont Luna bag, it felt like cheap rubber to me. It reminded me of something I could purchase at Target. It was delivered back to them yesterday and the FedEx proof photo shows the package sitting on someone’s doorstep with a bunch of other packages which is kind of alarming! Maybe someone processes returns from home? Strange!

I'm not a fan of the longchamp nylon bag because it's all made in China and the quality imo has declined. It wears poorly. I spoke with a lady once with a le pilage tote. She said she's had it for almost 15 years. She's put that thing thru the washing machine and it still looks new. Idk how she did it with the leather straps but that's what she told me!

We’re all entitled to our own opinions! I love / own DeMellier and the Marc Jacobs Tote bags! I can’t stand Senreve … I find their designs quite unattractive, and them gifting a slew of influencers with their bags and the non-stop promotion I was getting pummeled with are a huge turnoff. No thanks! 😂❤

Polene is a no for me. I purchased one when the prices were SOMEWHAT reasonable, and all of the paid sponsorship videos were out, but it arrived quite wonky, uneven. The customer service was horrible and I was stuck with it. I DETEST that they push themselves off as a “luxury” brand and require influencers to also call it a luxury brand. That distinction is earned over time A LOT of time. Just calling yourself a luxury brand does not make you one. The insane unjustified price increases are sickening. I also have no respect for them referring to themselves as a Parisian brand when all of the production is in Spain. Another bait and switch marketing tactic. A total avoid brand. Demellier almost got me, but after reading a number of reviews complaining of chipping and peeling leather very soon after receiving the bag, I decided to avoid this brand as well. I have never been interested in senreve, way too over hyped, again by paid sponsorships. I also do not like the designs and the hard box like leather. Songmont, I already commented on that. I purchased the Luna, the bag felt like rubber or plastic, the construction of the strap was ridiculously flimsy, and the bag even smelled like rubber. Back it went, and I avoid the brand as well. Coach leather bags are great, although I wish they would return to their roots and start making the baseball glove leather bags and manufacture them back here in the USA. I do not, and have never liked their fabric bags with the exception of the cabriolet line.

The lululemon belt bag is great, for it’s limited use, mine still looks brand new. The Uniglo bag I also have, and use much the same as the lululemon. It is great for errands, especially when I don’t want to be seen with a Chanel or LV bag, and vacation for the same reasons.

@@SomehowadultingI bought mine before, when the Un Nano was $280-$300 depending on leather. It was during the influencer heyday of sponsored videos. I think the influx as a result of the heyday was probably already affecting the quality.

I use my Lululemon daily. Cross body. And in fabulous condition after several years. Strathberry and Demellier leather is superb and the craft work is very very good - being made in Spain is a plus. Love these two companies.

Regarding the Tabby, I don't see a difference in Coach leaning into what has become an iconic bag for the brand and the Chanel Classic Flap, Hermes Birken, or Kelly. They all play to their strengths, creating the same bag in various sizes, leathers and other materials, colors, and textures. And folks long to collect Chanel and Hermes. So, get it Coach!

I am in the older demographic and I love my Lululemon belt bags. I have several and use them a lot in the summer when out and about and for domestic travel. Some of the other brands didn’t peak my interest. I do like the Coach tabby bag and the Jacquemus bags are super cute but not for me. I ordered a Senreve bag and returned it because I just felt it was so stiff and not easy to use, I am now steering clear of these over done/influencer bags. Don’t get me started on Idyl (no one pronounces it the same either!!!)

Strathberry is one of the best mad bags I have ever owned. I own quite a few Aspinal of London bags as well. I purchased the Croco Trunk bag on the secondary market. The metal corner trim pieces are glued on the bag. I found out when the corner fell off! I could not believe they did not secure them with screws. I also own several of the Mayfair and Mayfair II bags. I love the style and construction of those but they are too small for everyday use.

I do still have 3 of those Lulu belt bags and I do use them for very specific things; the airport bc I can squish it in to my carryon during boarding and I pack real purses, out walking/hiking, at the nursery/ garden center, and always at the dentist office bc there is no place to set my handbag down. If I anticipate there will be no safe place to set my bag or anytime dirt may be involved...

Out of all the brands you mentioned, I only have a Senreve Alunna bag in Mauve. I purchased a Senreve guitar strap to go with it and it is my favorite summer bag. I guess, I am not easily influenced. I still prefer my Longchamp bags for travel and my LV bags for everything else.

I strongly disagree. In my differing opinion, Coach put themselves back on the map because of the Cassie. The Tabby carried the torch after Coach discontinued the Cassie, a huge mistake in my not so humble opinion.

Last comment today😂…. If you like the design of the pochette metis, then get a Coach Cassie on the preloved market. If you don’t love the design but know someone with the Coach Cassie ask to inspect it. The details, omg, coach is stamped ever so discretely everywhere! The turn-lock closure, the bit that turns, if you look closely it is embossed coach. The button on the dog leash clasp on the shoulder strap, same thing. They way Coach (not the outlet, which in my opinion are two completely different companies) packages their bags for shipping. NO ONE else that I have ever seen packages their items so well, it is an experience just unwrapping the bag. Every single bit is protected! It really is insane. Correct. It was the Cassie. I have multiples of the Cassie to match different outfits. Lovely classic leather bag. The Cassie 19 is an excellent crossbody size. I have looked at the LV Pochette and nothing about it makes me want to pay over $2,000 for the same bag style I can get from Coach for less than $500.

I used to wear the lululemon belt bag,Uniqlo crossbody bag, etc a lot but saw a lot of moms wearing it at daughters’ school so got put off… kind of like with seeing neverfulls and speedy everywhere… anyways, I need something bigger nowadays, but still use the belt bag / Uniqlo bag for travel or exercise . Coach was popular when I was in high school… before 2007…I only got coach Cassie since it was similar to LV pochette Métis. Tabby was not my taste.

I bough 3 pieces of slg from Aspinal to test before buying a bag. I would say that the leather they use is on par with Coach leather but their designs are more detailed and skilled. I’m actually getting a black bag from them, but my slg are in different colours (dark pink, Heather purple and dove grey). Ateliers Auguste bags are very lightweight and they are waterproof. They hang well on the body and have strong magnet closures. I think the wearability is the reason why people aren’t getting rid of them. They are just so easy to wear. I have one cornflower blue tote by Coach and it looks lovely with dresses in the summertime. I won’t buy handbags from Coach, though, because they don’t suit me.

I got the Ateliers Auguste Mini Monceau, and I absolutely love it. I think it wasn't as viral as the similar Demellier Vancouver box bag so it didn't quite oversaturate in my mind. I'm very happy with my purchase.

I bought a Lululemon belt bag and I immediately disliked seeing everyone with it. So I quickly passed it on to my daughter. I went from loving Polene to dealing with QC issues and back to loving the brand. Coach has also dealt with significant QC issues sadly. Though I recognize I’m easily influenced with viral bags, I keep true to myself and only purchase (or end up keeping) bags that work for me.

Now I am eyeing the Songmont Shan Satchel in canvas since I heard that their leather quality is really bad.

Yes, I have looked at Verified NY. I wanted to buy to see the quality but definitely don't have money to buy them all to do reviews for y'all! I would say Songmonts leather quality isn't bad..it's just different. I spilled sauce on it yesterday.. panicked and it wiped off easily. I also wore it crossbody with black clothes multiple times and zero color transfer. I'd say that's quite good for the price point!

COACH - Will still buy Coach but most of their designs do not appeal to me, esp not the tabby. ASPINAL OF LONDON - My kiddo uses my nano mayfair and loves it--it's very cute but too small for me. I don't care for the bigger mayfairs. I would considering a lottie if the right one comes up at the right pricepoint. My lottie pillow clutch though is an absolute winner! POLENE - You convinced me a while back that the mini neuf was not for me. UNIQLO - The half moon bag is super handy and a very accessible pricepoint so I can see why people have multiple. OTHER - I have no interest in any of the other bags. I am curious though what your favorite items are from Trader Joe's though. I have my favorite TJ items but maybe I am missing out on a real treasure!

I admit I got influenced by Ateliers Auguste but it’s now my pretty-but-not-luxury bag, which I find perfect to use when travelling and still wanting a nice photo in dangerous cities like Paris 😂 also I use it when its raining but it still looks new. I have the polene bucket bec i like handbags that have unique shape and wanted the neuf bag but after qc issues came up and price increase i changed my mind, plus it became too trendy. Glad i got the bucket bag during polene's early days. Got a demellier top handle bag but it was annoying to open and close with the hardware so returned it. Didn't bother getting the viral crossbody one, i steer away from trendy pieces.

My first purchase on the Demellier website was a cardholder. I love its leather and functionality, so I still use it daily. However, I then decided to buy their handbag (not the viral one). The quality of the bags I got (the Santa Monica and the Alexandria) didn't feel like they were worth the price. The quality of their leather was just OK, and the metal scratches easily. The Santa Monica's chain was way too heavy, and you couldn't remove it from the bag, which made me feel like weightlifting when carrying the bag 😂 I also own a Strathberry Trinity mini, which is definitely one of my favorite bags. I love the design and color, and the overall quality (leather, metal, and stitches) is so worth the price.

The DeMiller bags I've been kind of 'eh' on. I don't like large hardware on a black or brown bag, but the Vancouver bag in the azure color changed it for me. I LOVE the bag in that color, and think the hardware pops really nicely with the purple type color. I haven't purchased it because i am still not sure i want a bag that i have to be that delicate with, in terms of being careful with the large front-facing hardware. But we shall see!

I have about 10 bags (half of which are Coach in repeat styles like the cassie and heart bags ❤), but I cannot find anything with the organization and ease that the Lululemon bag gives me! I wish there could be a higher end equivalent while not being so casual/athleisure though. To me, the blazing yellow gold of Demellier is a complete turn-off. I love the look of Polene numero Neuf, but after hearing so many negative reviews I've still never purchased. Ateliers Auguste is very tempting... but they restock colors and styles so slowly so I forget about them! Fighting FOMO is so real. 😅

Hahah you're collecting pokemon with coach. If that style works for you, then do it! I think the Senreve Aria Belt bag is the answer to a fancier belt bag. I think the quality is great. I don't think Instagram viral bags influence me. I only check Instagram once a week. I've thought about Lululemon and Uniqlo bags, but decided I didn't need them since they're a little too casual-feeling to me. Not tempted by the Tabby or Luna, but I did get the mini Song bag last year, in lavender. I also feel blessed to have gotten all my Polene bags at the beginning of 2023 without major quality issues. I don't know if I would still buy today given how they have terrible customer service and more quality issues these days. They're offering less and less of their smooth and pebbled leather I love and more of their textured leather I don't love. I don't like Pei or Jacquemus. I don't find the proportions of Jacquemus are that practical for me. Totes, belt bags and backpacks are not for me. I like to grab bags by a top handle or just grab the top of a box bag. None of Senreve's designs really appeal to me. I don't know whether Cos is high-quality because they don't give enough info about leathers and the low price makes me dubious about them. I agree with you that Ateliers Auguste has superior hardware compared to Demellier, and I want to add that I love that wavy aspect of the AA clasp, because it means I don't leave any fingerprints on the hardware! Parisa Wang bags are not ones that I have or want a lot of. I couldn't resist a good houndstooth, so I got that houndstooth with "walrus" leather, as well as a color-blocked "epsom" leather, both top handle crossbodies. I like the epsom leather since it's not that common outside of Hermes, but the walrus leather is nothing I love touching. None of PW's designs are must-have for me, and the same can be said of Strathberry and Aspinal of London. I do see a lot of these brands on The Realreal, so unless there's a good sale, I would probably only buy them pre-loved instead of new.

Too bad the Coach outlet ruined it for you. The retail store is putting out beautiful pieces, and I am enjoying the bags and Coach's resurgence very much. The use of their logo on their bags is no different than LV. If a person hates the Coach "C" but is still buying LV monogram (not you necessarily, just generally), then I personally think the disdain for the "Cs" is driven by snobbery. The Coach monogram on the retail items is different from the outlet, which is what you showed. The retail use of monogram is nicer and no more off-putting than LV monogram, if one likes that sort of thing.

I have the Polene Numero Neuf in a pinky beige colour. I bought it before the last price hike. I love the colour and the shape but it's not the most practical bag to get in and out of. I read LVMH have bought the Polene brand so expect more price hikes. I also have the Demellier New York Tote as a work bag. I think the style is very nice but the leather is nothing special. I had to buy a bag insert because the bag is one big hole and smaller items just roll around in it. I did get the bag discounted so I'm not unhappy with it for the price.

Yes, if you're going to buy Demillier definitely buy it on sale. If you spent 2-300 bucks on one their bags and use it often. Cost per wear makes complete sense. Thanks for sharing!

The Polene QC issue is so unfortunate. I love their silhouettes but I can't justify purchasing with all of the negative experiences people are having. I think more than the QC issue, the supposed poor customer service is most concerning to me. So unfortunately, that's a brand that I just won't touch.

I bought the Songmont Luna bag, and I like it a lot! The versatility and the quality of the leather are amazing. The only thing I would change is the interior-I wish it were made of cotton. Besides that, what convinced me to buy it was watching a video by a leather expert named Tanner Leatherstein, who dissected the Luna bag, compared it to another bag from the same brand, and gave the Luna bag very positive feedback: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bX2XZZyjj9ialc0 I recommend watching his videos if you want to be sure about the quality of some brands. I would say a small belt bag that's sticks close to your body. Knowing most of the rides they make you take it off and put in their cubbies if it's too big. Don't bring your credit cards if you can pay with your phone. Leave it at the hotel. If you are bringing your kids...I think you would have to bring a tote or a backpack lol

Strathberry is one of the best mad bags I have ever owned. I own quite a few Aspinal of London bags as well. I purchased the Croco Trunk bag on the secondary market. The metal corner trim pieces are glued on the bag. I found out when the corner fell off! I could not believe they did not secure them with screws. I also own several of the Mayfair and Mayfair II bags. I love the style and construction of those but they are too small for everyday use.
