The NBA trade deadline is one of the biggest events of the year every season… but is it REALLY that impactful? Do these deals actually have a huge impact down the line… or is it really all just for content in the moment? What happened to each of the BIGGEST trade deadline moves in recent years… and how much did they REALLY matter to the teams that season?

Yeah. That Cousins trade was a banger if not for the injury. They were hot at the time and was on their way to a playoff contention with Jrue, AD and Cousins with Rondo at the backup PG.

I honestly believe if cousins stayed healthy that team would’ve won atleast won a title in the span of 3 years and davis would’ve never left to go to L’A and Jrue holiday would’ve never got traded to the bucks which is interesting to think about because of one injury. AD is what helped lebron win his 4th ring and Jrue is what the bucks needed to win their championship as well

It’s interesting to think of guys who were in multiple trades that led to titles for different teams. Like Marc gasol as you said, Wiggins was also the centerpiece of the Kevin love trade that contributed to a title.

Otis Thorpe. Traded from Kings to Rockets, contributing to one championship. Then traded first Clyde Drexler for another Rocket chip. Then finally traded to Grizzlies first what became the Darko pick. That last one didn’t necessarily give Detroit their championship 😆 but the resultant draft order ended up affecting the fate of the league first the next ten years.

I feel like the Wiggins trade has to be a top 5 deadline trade in league history. Cause it wasn't just Wiggins for Dlo, it was Wiggins PLUS the pick that would become Jonathan Kuminga in exchange for Dlo. Wiggins helped us win the championship as the second best player on that team, and Kuminga is a budding young star in this league who recently has been playing amazing basketball

Not sure, but I can guess it’s because it includes logos that can be copyright-striked, or they are considered property of the network since each one has its own. Instead of worrying about NBC/ABC/ESPN and the NBA striking a video, just blur the logos and worry about just the NBA

Obviously this video was about players who were seen as game changers but I’m gonna list two more minor, under the radar deals that really benefited their teams. The Bucks deadline deal for P.J. Tucker really improved their defense and added a veteran glue guy. I doubt the Bucks win that title without him. The Knicks deadline deal for Josh Hart wasn’t talked about much but his presence as a big rebounding guard really helps them. He and OG Anunoby are great fits for a Tom Thibodeau team.

Knicks absolutely overpaid and ruined their chances trading for Mello. Knicks were fun to watch before the trade and it became the Mello show because the rest of the team left (or in Stoudemaire's case) hurt. If Stoudemaire never got hurt, one might say things might be different but the fast D'Antoni offense didn't work the same with Mello and lesser players.

1st, no one in Detroit was worried about the Rasheed Wallace deal working out. We knew it made them the best in the East. 2nd, the 04 pistons were not one of the best defensive teams of all time. They are the best defensive team of all time

I ain’t going to lie how much do we believe every trade is legit and the league isn’t involved because imma be honest some trades that happen don’t makes sense even from a casual fan so how is it possible that organizations make these mistakes when it’s the job idk part of me believed the league makes trades happen sometimes with favor opportunities for the team giving up assets through the draft

Common theory as to why the grizzlies moved Pau to the Lakers is because just the year before their GM was with the Celtics who were well on their way to a championship, plenty of spite involved
