If it were me, it wouldn't get changed much. I'd want Yoruichi's entire fights (both before and after activating her berserk form) to happen on-screen (and maybe extended slightly) so you can see her being worn down as the fight goes on (I actually like Grimmjow and Ichigo being off-screened. It adds some mystique to the ability and the fact it happens in quick succession makes him more intimidating). I'd also extend the fight after Urahara's bankai. Not much, but enough to show that Askin is throwing everything he can at him and nothing is sticking. And the ending would be perfect with a single addition: about 5-10 seconds after Nel enters the gift ball deluxe (perhaps after it cuts to a different fight it could show an angle of it), you see a large silhouette exiting it. Nothing fancy, just a clear indication that Urahara did indeed plan everything perfectly.

probably one of my favorite things about him, he's one of if not the only character in bleach that doesn't have an attire change (course not counting turn back the pendulum)... although i would like to see Kisuke have the Squad 12 Captain Sigil on the back of his standard kimono i forget what that specific robe type clothing is called (as a throwback to him originally being a captain of squad 12, and to piss off Mayuri a bit in his own manner)

The man is genuinely terrifying, even Aizen didn't think he'd managed to go this far and yet in the end even he doesn't know or understand Kisuke and yet Kisuke fully is aware of why Aizen did what he did. In a way it seems Aizen did find someone who would alleviate his loneliness, but never fully realized it only pursuing what he considers his ultimate goal. It's also telling how much respect he has been given by every major villain in the series From Tokinada, Aizen, Yhwach who warns the sternritters that out of all the special war threats he is the one to be weary off and never underestimated a threat equivalent to Ichigo in terms of unpredictability and adaptation as hinted at by Askin in his dying moment. He is backed by a majority of the noble houses from Yoruichi to Shiba house, and even Byakuya's house pays huge respect to his name. It's my theory that perhaps Tessai might be the missing Noble house not Kisuke, as Tessai's talent for Spells is something that I think is consistent with Noble House members, and seeing as how it's a secret force even amongst all the organizations in the seritei having Tessai be a noble makes more sense why he also obtained that position. It also explains why Tokinada wanted to bring Kisuke in the fold in the meeting of the houses as he speaks of him as if he was an outsider, which makes me theorize that Tessai is indeed that final noble that has not be mentioned yet, since he would be absent from the meeting because he enjoys the shop keeper life in the human world and is taking care of Jinta and Ururu.

It interesting that Kisuke was against wiping Hisagi's memories while being unnerved by Yoruichi's paranoid/cold deadly edge regarding letting him publish part of the truth. It shows that both have clearly different views on the subject but at least later, Yoruichi does admit that those in power do not change and enable monsters both within/without. She tells this to Rose and Kira whom she's befriended in working as an instructor at the academy.

The TYBW arc left so many iconic characters’ fates unresolved, and the omission of Kisuke Urahara and Yoruichi Shihōin in the original manga feels like a serious oversight. For two characters that shaped so much of the Bleach universe, leaving them in ambiguous situations-bloody and collapsed-seems almost disrespectful to their legacy. Thankfully, the *Can’t Fear Your Own World* light novel fills in some of those gaps, even if the manga should have done this justice. Kisuke’s role in strengthening Aizen’s restraints post-war is classic Urahara-always working behind the scenes-but why couldn’t we see that in the main story?

It's weird to me seeing Tetsuzaemon Iba & Isane Kotetsu in captain uniforms. It feels like the rest of the captains wouldn't respect them as equals. And i love that, it really changes the dynamic. It's also really cool seeing Byakuya with his eyes closed as Rukia enters the room, he's very praoud. And i love the detail that Mayuri Kurotsuchi isn't there at the captain meeting because he's obviously in his lab being crazy. Bleach panels tells a thousand words.

I still think that when he said "Kuchiki" he meant Byakuya, the guy who's in the next panel, rather than Rukia. Maybe there's context that clarifies he meant Rukia, such as which honorific is used in the original, but it's a bit odd iirc. Then again, Rukia was the active Shinigami that Urahara was closest to after the various events in Karakura Town, so he may just be remarking upon their bond & presumably his trust in her

Loved both their characters but CFYOW proved people weren't wrong to be extremely wary of them. Especially when Yoruichi suggested brainwashing Hisagi, which implies that if it were someone with a lesser position, she'd kill them. Which makes sense given their previous posts and connections with eachother before leaving SS. I like how Bleach takes it time to show these sides, that Ichigo never knows or sees. Shunsui, Unohana, Yoruichi, Urahara and even Yamamoto are all not good people. Makes me appreciate how much Mayuri doesn't give a F and let's everyone know off rip he's bat shit insane.

It's also interesting that at least someone of the Shinigami you initially mentioned are willing to admit that either their system is flawed I.E Yoruichi conceding that the nobility is a problem, or others acknowledging that they are monsters who would've been executed anywhere else. We will see but as it is, it does not bode well for Soul Society.

He does point out that the other nobles, with only a few exceptions, are just like him and it's surprising it all hasn't collapsed because one or more decided to seize power for themselves at some point.

The timeline fits, Yoruichi has known Byakuya since he was a kid. But then again, she exiled herself with Urahara during the Pendulum arc and clearly didn't keep in contact with Byakuya until she returned in the SS arc. So I doubt she ever met Hisana. But she probably still views Byakuia as a friend/little brother so of course she'd be mad as hell at Tokinada for the insult

Grimmjow easily slicing quilge in half and ripping out askins heart really makes me wonder how well the espada would have fared against the sternritter now. I get that grimmjow probably became stronger by a bit, but tybw happens only a short while after the lost agent arc, 17 months after aizens defeat. According to the postwar novels Kisuke is managing his shop and is expanding his franchise to other areas of Japan, especially those with high spiritual activity. Meanwhile Yoruichi is a full time instructor at the Shinigami academy and a popular one at that. She has also befriended Kira and Rose, their discussions on the history of music and the harsh truths of the worlds has had a therapeutic effect on the trio. Both have found their respective peace in the aftermath.

hey mr tommo, i have a question, when u were first getting into bleach, probably like me ten or so years ago, was it just me that thought that they were foreshadowing something dark about urahara. i always thought he was gonna eventually turn bad or we find out he was the true puppeteer behind the scenes. there was fan art and stuff for it back then but i always wondered what that would look like. an evil keiske arc. when aizen said what he said at the end of the battle when he was being sealed. it always made me wonder did it do that to u at any pint. especially during the early series idk man i think it wouldve been cool glad they didnt do it tho cause i love urahara most of my online presence is keiske themed even if i cant spell his name right

I feel like they were done dirty in the TYBW ending by just being dropped. While I overall like the fight with Askin, I would have preferred it if Yoruichi hadn't been given an ability to which she has no control and really just fanserviced vs it having any real effect on the battle in the end. I like that the characters seem to have been brought in as more mainstream characters than earlier where they were still exiled and only showed up every now and then. They are my two favorites characters. They gave me Urahara's bankai in the Askin fight so I can only be so mad. I like Yoruichi's new design and am actually glad they didn't mess with Urahara's getup.

It’s interesting that Yoruichi has a zanpaktou, but chooses not to use it since she’s stronger without it. Does this mean her Zanpaktou is not suited to combat and actually hinders her fighting ability?

Given everything we know about the true nature of zanpakuto I find it very hard to believe it would be a hinderance to her. She probably just hasn't fully accepted it or gotten to know it, or the zanpakuto spirit might not have fully accepted her like it was with Renji pre Soul Palace

Soi uses her shitty Bankai all the time. The reality is most women in Bleach are written to be dumb as fuck or plot devices. Unohana died for Zaraki to be a jobber. Rukia and Orihime basically do nothing. Every single top character is a dude, and honestly that goes for almost every Shounen out there.
